Bush can wiretap us without warrants and the Republicans |
|
are silent. someone in the Administration outed a CIA operative to silence a critic and the Republicans were silent.
Bush claims he can "disappear" people 'cause we are at war, Bush claims he can declare people (American citizens included) "enemy combatants and have them disappear in a prison gulag that rivals Soviet Russia in her heyday and the Republicans are deathly silent.
17 or more Republilcans are caught up in scandal after scandal from simple theft to accepting bribes and the Republican-controlled Ethics panel has turned a deaf ear...
We wanted the attacks on 9/11 investigated and the republicans produced nothing of substance to cover for Their fearless leader's incompetence.
The Justice Department searched a congressman's office with a warrant (surprise surprise surprise!) and the Republicans in charge are screaming bloody murder!
Spying on citizens is ok, disappearing Americans is ok, torturing people is ok, but conduct a legal warranted search of a criminal's office and the Republicans are screaming fromthe rooftops... You gotta ask yourself: what is Hastert afraid of? is he next.
Bush has brazenly tromped on our rights and openly raped the Constitution with nary a peep from the group constitutionally charged with oversight...
This reminds me of the old saying: paraphrased here First they came for the suspected terrorists and I said nothing. then they came for the cell phone records and I said nothing. Then they coralled the protesters blocks away and I said nothing. Now they have come for me....and there is no one to speak for me.

2. Your post title makes me think of something else |

Because the last two words are cut off, it sounds like "and the Republicans can be spied on, too".
I don't think they fully appreciate that fact.
Remember, disloyalty is the worst crime in Shrub's world. I don't think he would hesitate for a second to wiretap Arlen Specter or Bill Frist or even Ricky Santorum if they made any criticisms of the Boy King.
