Does anyone know how to do this? |
|
Take a screen shot of your desktop?
I am trying to run a program & I keep getting a error message. The vendor of the software wants me to send them a screen shot of my desktop with the error message on it & I don't know how to do this. :(

1. I think you just hit the "print screen" button. |
|
It should appear as a jpeg on your desktop then.
Are you using a PC or a Mac?

Nothing happened, or I don't know where the file was saved to. I am using a PC with Windows XP Home edition.

7. It might be labeled "Picture 1" or something like that. |
|
And it should be on your desktop.
Then you can cut and paste that jpeg into a Paint program to make it visible.

3. If you're running windoze, |
|
PrintScreen or Shift+PrintScreen should do the trick.
Open Paint (or any other photo editing program) & paste the contents of your clipboard into the application to make sure you captured the screen.

hit CTL+Print Screen to take a shot of your entire desktop or ALT+Print Screen to cap just your active application. Paste into a graphics program and save as an image file.

8. Open some kind of an imaging program like |
|
photo shop and then minimize it. Then hit print screen. Maximize your imaging program and hit control and v or paste. You can then save the screenshot as a jpeg or whatever you want.
