WHY WHY WHY isn't Rove indicted yet?
I don't get it. I'm tired of waiting. I'm tired of rethugs rubbing it in our faces that ROVE WALKS and he will not be punished for anything. Why is that man immune?

4. Just. Have. Patience......
Good things come to those who wait. It can't be easy for Patrick Fitzgerald to wade through a mountain of lies that these freakin' repigs always spew out as their truth. He is working against a whole criminal regime that will say and do anything to stay in power.

5. I have not given up..
... I still believe this will happen. But it has to be a daunting task for the prosecutor, even if he has a case there is a gauntlet he must cross to actually bring an indictment.

6. I felt the same way until
I realized 2 things: he has an extremely small staff--only 4 lawyers. Fed prosecutors with his responsibilities typically have at least a dozen lawyers on staff. Second, he has 2 jobs--as fed prosecutor in Chicago and this WDC job (the same applies to his staff). And third, he has won every one of his cases in his career. He will not proceed until he is sure he can win. And in his perspective, what's the hurry?

7. Come on everyone get off of Rove - he WON'T be indicted as long as.......
....the WH Idiot boy has anything to do with it. Rove and Cheney are Idiot Boy's crutches and advisers so he will keep them safe and free at all costs.

We've got an election coming up in just six months so let's get on with priorities already. If and when we win back the House and Senate then and only then can Cheney, Rove, and Idiot Boy be properly dealt with.

8. You actually think something will happen to him?
John Poindexter is still running around causing all kinds of trouble. John Negroponte has been confirmed by the Senate numerous times by votes of 95-3, 98-2, and so on, in the last couple years. I'm sure there are countless others to put on that list.

I know the Enron guys got caught. However, if they're not out eventually, that means something went wrong with the system.

My advice would be to stop waiting. Just like nobody should wait for Rumsfeld to be taken to court over war crimes. The worst that'll happen to him, will be that he goes back into the corporate world making millions. I'm sure he'll pop up as Sec of Def again too, for the third time(or is it 4th now?). He'll never die. Plus, he's got Cambone coming up behind him.

Enron Execs Found Guilty on Multiple Conspiracy, Fraud Charges
Friday, May 26th, 2006
http://www.democracynow.org/article.pl?sid=06/05/26/1410242

We speak with investigative journalists Robert Bryce and Greg Palast.

<snip>

GREG PALAST:
...This is the Al Capone of electricity, Ken Lay. And like Al Capone, who got convicted of not filing his taxes -- after machine gunning people, right? --here Ken Lay, who is really the master financial criminal of the late 20th century, part of a crew, part of a mob, he's only sent up the river for very limited charges. Yes, it's a victory for the Bush Justice Department. He's basically convicted of not filing the proper papers, like not filing his taxes. So it's fraud charges, not filling out loan forms properly, not proper disclosures to the SEC.

Now, you have to understand what's happening here. That means, despite the fact that this one guy is getting nailed and stands -- two guys could go up the river, for up to a century in the case of Skilling, in fact, they're not charged with their big crimes. The Bush Justice Department went way out of its way to make sure that the big crimes were not busted. After all, these guys played games with not only the books of their company, but they took down the California power market, ripped off consumers with other power companies as co-conspirators, with investment banks as co-conspirators, $9 billion. $9 billion from the consumers of California. Not a single charge was excluded from the trial. So, all these guys are actually breaking out the champagne bottles, because what they did was is they hung out Ken Lay and Skilling to dry, but the mob stays there; just like when Capone went up the river, we saw the legacy of the mob. In this case, Skilling and Lay go up the river for these technical infractions, but the power mob still stays there.

No indictment for Rove but jury still out
By WILLIAM D. McTAVISH

Capitol Hill Blue

Contrary to some published reports, Presidential advisor Karl Rove was not indicted two weeks ago by the federal grand jury investigating the leak of a covert CIA operative's name but he remains a focus of special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald, sources close to the investigation say.

"No indictment, sealed or otherwise, has yet been issued against Mr. Rove," says an investigator working on the case. "But," he adds, "that doesn't mean one isn't in the works if Fitz (special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald) can make his case."

12. Because Rove is not the end.
I predicted back in April that the grand jury would vote to indict Rove fairly soon, but Fitzgerald would hold up on actually filing the indictment to get Rove to provide more info on others.

I stand by that prediction.

15. IMO, he's a bit player here
I think Cheney is Fitz's real target. If Rove is telling him what he wants to hear, he'll just use that testimony against Cheney & Libby. In my humble opinion, Rove will never be indicted at all.

20. I'm beginning to wonder if Fitz might not even be after bigger game
than Cheney (of course since Cheney is our actual Prez, that may not be possible), and that he may even be gunning for Bush himself.

If he takes Bush down, then it would be a real score, how does Bush PARDON anyone if he's out of commission?

I hope I hope I hope :)

25. You mean NYT? The Wilson article in NYT of 7/6/03 on which Cheney
scribbled the plan for making everybody believe it was merely a political vendetta?

(No more Brewster-Jennings counter-proliferation agents in or near Iran, to prevent the excuse for bombing them, or establish that there is no justification for doing so.)

31. You know what's funny?
Ever since I spent a year researching the Plame outing for my film on it, I noticed that there was an awful lot of "PRESPIN" (a New Think word :) ) that was actually Created at the same time the Mess was.. it was a PLAN from the start, and as far as I know the law, "when two or more" plan something, that is called CONSPIRACY..

This Plame outing was SPUN within the very evidence itself - remember all the "HIS WIFE SENT HIM.." coming out of so many mouths? Well, it's written right THERE on the paper and BY Cheney himself.. and No ONE supposedly had access to this piece of evidence until Fitz got it..

Think about it - you'll see more of this as it unfolds..

I'm holding out for Conspiracy charges by Fitz, it's not as unfeasible as it sounds, and would make me a happy boy.. if Libby and Cheney had that NYT Piece in their hands or the same office, then THAT is a Conspiracy charge right there..

Our representatives won't listen to us, our senators won't listen to us, what can we do but bend over and take it?

I think this is the worst our government has ever been. AND, if everyone is corrupt how to we find our way back to lawful and caring people running the government?

Are democrats as bad as republicans when it comes to corruption?
