Drudge: IV twins born "the wrong color".
Pray tell, Matty, what exactly is the "right" color? (Although I imagine I could guess.) Seriously, there was an obvious screw-up in the lab, and the parents, who seem to be dealing with this as well as could be expected, might certainly find the children's color "surprising". But "wrong"? It sounds to me, that based on the sperm and eggs which were used, these kids are exactly the right color.

1. that's just semantics
if i get the wrong answer for a math problem, techinically it's the right answer, but for a different problem. But we call it the wrong answer, because it is not the intended result.

2. Wrong or Right
The first thing to determine is if it happened at all - Drudge mostly just makes things up out of whole cloth.

4. I agree-- "wrong" has a context, and is not necessarily a value judgement

5. The wonders of modern science
Give us these lovely little puzzles.

I think the only thing that was "wrong" was a label on a test tube somewhere. Somewhat off-topic, as an adoptive parent, I am always amazed at the lengths (emotional and financial) people will go to in order to produce a child with their own DNA. It seems it puts the emphasis on reproducing oneself rather than nurturing another as the motivation for having a child.

8. "Life is DNA's way of reproducing"
I don't recall who said that, but it certainly seems to be true. More important than the survival of the species is the survival of one's own genes, no matter if we are talking about people, antelope, frogs, sequoias or slime mold.

6. Here's a clue from his beloved, W:
I believe that people whose skins aren't necessarily, you know, are a different color than white, can self-govern.
