Natalee Holloway has been missing....one year
I know it seems like more but it has only been one year.

http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/LegalCenter/story?id=2018398&page=1

May 30, 2006 — A year ago today, 18-year-old Natalee Holloway mysteriously vanished on the last night of her five-day vacation with friends in Aruba.

Over the last 12 months, some cable news channels have seemingly devoted more time to the disappearance of the beautiful, blonde, straight-A student from Alabama than they have to the war in Iraq.

1. Fox "News" is probably hoping she's never found.
Gotta keep the ratings!

7. I think it must be horrible to lose a child and never know. I care.
I don't care about the media circus but I care about their loss. May they find peace somehow.

5. does anyone really care?
I'd like to know how many unknown girls have disappeared since this girl did, and how many hours were devoted to each of those girls' disappearances.

A pretty blond girl went to Aruba for Spring Break, got drunk/high, went off with the wrong people, and was probably raped and murdered, and dumped with a weight around her a few miles from shore to be eaten by sharks. It's a sad story, but it's not an important one.

The only TV time this case should've ever gotten was on local Aruba TV, Alabama TV stations, and maybe an episode of "American Justice" on A&E five years later. That's it.

6. Holy shit! Has anyone told Greta Van Susteren or Nancy Grace?
They could probably milk this for one or two news cycles!

8. Greta had better get down there again.
Never know what clues one might find on that godforsaken rock, perhaps underneath that $9 drink made with blue curacao.

9. I don't want to hear that name or see that woman again - ever!
That Twitty woman has excused every man on Aruba of having some part in the disappearance of NH. I have felt that there was a very strained relationship between the two and Twitty can't let go because of her guilt.

These are rich and careless people who feel they are better than the riff-raff. They felt that they had the right to send their ill-behaved daughter on a frivolous trip for some post graduation fun. They feel the world should stop and get involved in finding her or pay a severe price in the loss of tourism dollars. I just don't have sympathy for such pompous people. I just feel sorry for the missing girl that she wasn't better prepared to protect herself and that lack of preparation is the fault of her parents.
