Jan, 19th, 2005....gee, I wonder what went wrong, because that future is now, and well, lets face it, it sucks.

The campaign was wrong, there was no mandate, and he frittered away whatever capital he had, just like he fucked up every other business venture in his life, drunk or sober. Jeb probably knows that better than others, 'cuz his asshat of a brother fucked up his shot at the WH now.

I find the juxtaposition of tenses to be telling.

The campaign funding law I signed I thought was going to get rid of that. But evidently the Federal Election Commission had a different view.

L. BUSH: About the 527s?

KING: Yes and also about the ads that have been running...

L. BUSH: No, I haven't seen...
