Tucker Carson trying to minimize the Iraqi attacks
Edited on Tue May-30-06 10:12 PM by bigdarryl
This butt boy was on his show trying to say Congressman Martha was out of line by saying this is worst than Abu Grab prison scandal. Basically he's saying the media is blowing this up and convicting the marines before the facts come out.

2. As usual, Tucker misses the point.
The problem is the effect it has on the Iraqis and how they see us.

Before we were occupiers. Then torturers. Now it's as killers of innocents.

How do we "bring democracy" to the Middle East with these kinds of perceptions? Murtha's absolutely right. We need to "redeploy". It's a lost cause, it's wrecking our army, thousands are dying and being maimed in vainglorious folly, and it's wrecking our economy.

We need to end this stupid adventure. Bush will leave the problem on the next President's doorstep. Brace yourselves then because Republicans will blame Democrats for being "defeatists" and sabotaging his noble efforts.

8. I hope the next Democratic President/Congress passes the
the "Republican Patriot Forced Enlistment Relief Act". Every age 18-60 who have been cheerleaders for this war will be immediately called up to replace all soldiers currently deployed in Iraq. Priority will be given to those who have campaigned longest and hardest for "fighting them over there, so we don't have to fight them over here".

I think we could start with the pundit/political/theocratic class and work our way down to FreeRepublicans and RedStaters. We send them over with crappy body armor, let them enjoy the benefits of outsourced meals, and leave them there to fight their AQ counterparts... it's a win-win-win.

3. tucker is just a boil that leaks puss; he is a sympton of the infection ..

Guess he missed this too. More good news from Iraq.

Iraqi Tennis Players Shot for Wearing Shorts ..... Mission Accomplished.

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,7374-2199305,00...

<THE coach of the Iraqi national tennis team and two of his players were shot dead in Baghdad, apparently for wearing shorts, in a district where Islamic radicals have started to enforce brutal, Taleban-style law.

snip

Three men in civilian clothes surrounded the car and ordered the passengers to get out. When they refused, one of the men produced a revolver and shot the players. The coach sat helplessly in the back while the assailants dragged out the players’ bodies and dumped them in the road. Then one of the assailants cocked a handgun and shot the coach in the head.

The dead men were wearing green sports jerseys emblazoned with the word “Iraq”. One of the shirts bore an Olympics patch.

An Iraqi National Guard checkpoint was about 100m from the site of the ambush, but the soldiers did nothing, witnesses said. They added that gunmen had used the same car in the past two months during attacks on the owner of an electrical parts shop and a pedestrian. Local people suspect that the murders have been carried out by the Islamic militants roaming al-Saidiyah and the adjoining district of al-Amariyah.>

4. you refer to the WAR CRIMES and atrocities?
Edited on Tue May-30-06 10:22 PM by msongs
not a scandal, it is business as usual and the people who run the white house do NOT care about it except for having to read about it in the newspaper, which is soooooooooo inconvenient.

If somebody in the USA slaughtered that many people in one go, it would be plastered all over every medium for weeks.

but they were just iraqis in a war. bad timing on their part, eh?

edit -of course maybe none of this actually happened and there was NO war crime or atrocity. Never mind :-)

5. One of the victims was a 75 year old crippled blind man
confined to a wheel chair. Seven women, three children included in the dead. More and more witnesses are speaking up.

Murtha was briefed by military officials as a member of the Intelligence Committee and a veteran Marine.

6. That stupid little twit gets higher ratings at 11PM then the rest
25-54 demographic
Twit gets 217,000 households, even beating out O'Liely and Cooper reruns.

I just don't get it. He lies to cover God knows who's ass, and gets higher demos than the rest.

9. Tucker needs to stick to things he knows more about.
He should just report on American Idol. Since he has spent more time on it than anything else the last two weeks, he should be an expert on it by now.

10. All murder is justifiable under the Bush doctrine of preemption
Each of the victims might have killed an American if allowed to live. Haditha is really no different than Bush invading Iraq and killing thousands.
