GAS Prices and the Memorial Day weekend... an observation |
|
Last Wednesday gas prices shot up from $2.75 - $2.79 I thought, they are just sticking to the travelers on the holiday weekend.
On Friday eventing, I noticed the prices were at $2.62 - $2.65
Some stations even dipped in the $2.58 range by Monday
Monday morning the prices are still low, but by afternoon the price at most stations had jumped to $2.79
This AM we are at $2.89
Here is my theory on why the prices went down: The Water Cooler
What was the talk around the water coolers on Tuesday morning? How was your weekend? where did you go? How much was gas?
They wanted the talk to include lower gas prices. Now on Wednesday we are right back to paying the higher prices again.

I was surprised when I filled up the tank on Friday to drive out of town, that the price was $1.62, which was much lower than it had been earlier in the week. This goes to prove that the current prices are not truly being driven by supply and demand. Otherwise the price would have gone up, because you know the demand this past weekend was much higher than usual. Go figure ...

It must be freudian, If like me, just can't get above the $2.00 mark for gas prices. Imagine what $3.00 will do to me.

3. $2.65 Would Get You A 10-Mile Line Around Here |
|
You couldn't buy a gallon of gas for less than $2.84 a gallon anywhere in northern West Virginia for the last month.

8. looks like you're catching on... before his ratings fell off, |
|
a drop in popularity polls of our fearless leader, used to cause a drop in gas prices until his poll-ratings fell into hell. now exxon-mobile has given up on him.
