the very tone and arrogance of her statement ensures that Iraq will not negotiate with us.

I thought, "Well what a surprise. There's Condi on TV, beating on war drums for the invasion of Iraq." You know, this has been highly predictable for a long time. This is the beginning of a big push to start a war with Iraq.

Just lately the pukes in Congress passed yet another Paris Hilton tax cut, because they're afraid they're going to lose control in November. Remember that? Gotta keep that money flowing as long as possible to the wealthy elite who own them.

Now the neocons are trying to rush us into phase 2 of their dream of world conquest, before they lose the control they need to do so.

Edit to improve diction.

I'd take to the streets right now if everyone else would.

Perhaps we'll perfect the "instantaneous protest" here on the internet someday and this electronic communication can help us do more than just piss and moan about the latest atrocity from this band of killers.

14. no - not a greek tragedy - a futile bloody murderous insane farce
A tragedy requires that the protagonist be a good person destroyed by a tragic flaw in their own character (Othello's jealousy, MacBeth's Ambition). I look and see only greedy and unprincipled bastards; bloodthirsty psychopaths, boot licking courtiers, well fed fops and craven crawlers. Nary a tragic hero among them.

We slouch toward war with Iran, a war with consequences we can't even begin to understand and there is a heavy sense of inevitability about it. There are those who would oppose this madness but too many of them worry about making waves, how that would affect them personally, better they feel to go along than to stand out and say stop.

I have to wonder if it was like this as world war I started, this weary sense of nothing to be done. Someone said then the laps are going out all over Europe. Now I fear the lamps are going out all over the world.

18. See, that is the rub..
They are trying to save the people from their stupidity by pursuing a collectivist agenda that has been in place since Woodrow Wilson was pushed on the American people by Colonel Edward Mandell House.

This has been going on for almost a century and now, it is coming to a culmination. The goal, one world government... PNAC layed it all out for us in plain freaking english years ago. Our government has instigated it in war after war for a century.. from the Lusitania to Pearl Harbor to the Bay of Pigs to 9/11.

"The United States is the strongest nation in the world with little fear of
opposition. This is a wonderful opportunity for the American government to
dominate the world for the betterment of mankind. It is our destiny and our
obligation to usher in an American Peace, a Pax Americana similar to the Pax
Romana of the Roman Empire. It is our destiny to do so, and we must not shrink
from the challenge. We must establish our military presence in every part of the
world as the visible expression of our power. Such bold action will be costly and may
require the sacrifice of lives, but that is the necessary price for world leadership. Our
military must develop new technology, which, unfortunately, may be slow to develop
due to public resistance to the large expenditure required. However, this
transformation could be accelerated to our advantage if an enemy should attack us, as
happened at Pear Harbor. In the Middle East, the presence of Saddam Hussein is
justification for maintaining a military presence in the region, but even if Hussein did
not exist, we should be there anyway to maintain the Pax Americana."

Richard Perle:
“This is total war. We are fighting a
variety of enemies. There are lots of them out there. All this talk about first we are going to
do Afghanistan, then we will do Iraq, … this is entirely the wrong way to go about it. If we
just let our vision of the world go forth, and we embrace it entirely and we don’t try to piece
together clever diplomacy but just wage a total war … our children will sing great songs
about us in years from now.”

11. Can't Congress refuse to fund the war if Bush tries?
That would put a stop to it - no money, no war.

It will also be interesting to see how many of the military top brass quit, as rumors indicate they will, should we attempt to go after Iran.

Bush and Co. needs to be stopped. This cannot continue. He can't finish one thing before he makes a mess of another. Enough is enough.

15. What will we do...
if commander cuckoo-bannanas actually attacks IRAN? Hold large scale Protests? Complain (and probably be unheard)? Write some e-mails and sign a few petitions? Sit quietly in anger and wish it would all go away? Many will engage in the latter if they care at all.

After all, there isn't much we can do--we aren't in charge of anything. We don't even have access to the real information as to what the case for or against an attack would be. Almost certainly whatever it is doesn't call for a military response... but clearly our so-called leaders aren't going to engage in any diplomatic efforts (and if I were a leader of some other nation, I'd hardly trust us anyway--not that I wouldn't try to talk, just as the Iranians have; though they may not be as genuine as they want to appear to be either).

We simply cannot expect rational, peaceful behavior from this Administration. If anything, they've shown us by their past actions. They're simply too aggressive, too arrogant and too militant. They plainly suffer poor judgement verging on lunacy and seem proud of it. We should all be more than deeply embarrassed to have these people leading our nation. As sorry as are for ourselves for suffering these fools, we positively owe the rest of the world an apology.

It's an ugly situation, yet there must be better options than our current rulers (oppressors, dictators) are considering. That our insane "Unitary" Executive can take us to war on a whim is intolerable! I mean, if they were 'normal' and used appropriate caution, consideration and wisdom along with a real desire to avoid hostilities--like nearly every other President we've ever had, it might not be so bad. We might even be able to trust them to some degree.

In any case, we simply cannot afford--in so many ways--to become further entangled in foreign military quagmires of choice. In the end, the responsibility for stopping such behavior in our leaders, falls upon us. Swamp Congress in letters of protest, hold public demonstrations the like of which we've only recently seen on the Immigration issue and more... whatever we can do, we must.

There's no proof Iran has the capability to enrich uranium to weapons grade - the UN inspectors found nothing. Of course when Bushco's finished, everyone in this country will think Iran's got an arsenal of nukes pointed at us and we're in danger of annihilation.

Iraq: We ain't got no damned WMDs! You got cow shit in your ears? Check with the UN inspectors!

Chucklenuts & Co.: This is your last chance. Get rid of the WMDs!

Iraq: How can we get rid of something we don't have?

Chucklenuts & Co.: Prove that you don't have any WMDs!

Iraq: How do you prove a negative? We don't have any WMDs, crazy infidel!

Chucklenuts & Co.: The world's patience is wearing thin. Get rid of the WMDs!

Iraq: (silence)

Chucklenuts & Co. (at the UN): (Holding up a D-cell battery) This much super-concentrated WMD-stuff could kill everybody in a zillion-square-mile-area! And look what they also have! (shows picture) A Winnebago of Death!

Iraq: (silence)

Chucklenuts & Co. (on TV): Our coalition has commenced bombing numerous sites within Iraq to rid the world of WMDs (and Winnebagos of Death)...

Iraq: (silence)

Chucklenuts & Co. (a few months later): Oops, heh, heh. Well, I guess we had bad intelligence, there. We can't find any WMDs, not even the ones that we told everyone that we already KNEW where they were.

Just substitute "Iran" for "Iraq" and "Nucular" for "WMD" and replay for Act II.

It needs to be asked over and over again, but it won't.

This is worse than Nixon, as Nixon was the one losing his mind, not all of his administration. The sociopaths in this administration are unbelievable.
