Everything is politics with these people. If they attack in June or July, there'll be too much time for the fallout (political or otherwise) to damage them before the mid-terms. They do not want a Democratic Congress, because they know it's going to be like turning over an old rotten log, with GOP criminals scattering to get out of the sunlight.
