6. Bush finally does it and launches an air campaign against Iran
Edited on Wed May-31-06 01:21 PM by Selatius
The economy will suffer tremendous blows as countries like Russia and China start dumping US dollars for Euros, and several nations halt oil shipments to the US until the violence can be resolved. Gas prices will cripple the working class, and the dumping of US dollars will only lead to double-digit inflation for foreign-made goods, and many goods now are imported, not domestically made. Several nations may even levy economic sanctions against the US. We would become the new Soviet Union, isolated in our own frozen orbit.

It would be a war that could easily lead to the disintegration of the US like Afghanistan was for the Soviet Union.

10. Lately, its been how Im going to afford my kids college educations.
My two kids are nearing that stage and Im worried about paying for their educations. My oldest boy is working at a local McDonalds to earn some bucks and he graduates high school next year. My daughter is 13 and it wont be long for her neither. Im wondering if grants will even be around when she graduates.

11. Can you add economic security to your poll?
The things that worry me the most are livable wages, outsourcing, insourcing, union bashing, unchecked immigration and the future of social security. I am livid with how the g'ment has undercut, lied to and cheated all of us financially and fear that we could soon be looking at The Great Depression 2. :grr:

And if **any** entity could get Iran to nuke the U.S., it would be BushCo. After all, their "reality" states that Saddam hit the WTC on 9/11. :grr:

15. I guess everything on the list
What I worry about the most is where we're going with this whole thing. Civilization, economics, technology, energy, politics, environment, population, consumption, etc.

If I had to pick a specific topic though, it would be the environment. Although it really doesn't need me defending it, it'll do what its gotta do, but still.

20. Other--I worry about the well-being of my kids in this degraded country
Edited on Wed May-31-06 01:28 PM by Crowdance
I worry that they'll be dragged off to other countries to fight these old men's dirty wars. I worry that this cabal will finally succeed in bringing war to this country, so that the thorough pillaging of our national wealth can begin, and that my children will be offered up as fodder. I worry that, even if they escape all of that, we are now a people whose lives are empty of anything but hatred, fear and the hard, daily scrabble for survival. And that it will only get worse. That's what I worry about

31. It is the factor indeed
you're spot on there, but i can't worry about it.
People are fucking themselves silly,
and it is gonna cost the whole human race dearly,
mostly that we did not uplift the poorest, most reproducing,
parts of humankind when we had the chance, that they might
live lives beyond despearation that one of the babies might
survive when so many don't.

30. wealth distribution
wealth distribution to the poorest, is a great concern indeed,
as capitalism will screw these people worst, and with the population
of the earth doubled since nixon, the number of people enslaved to
the bottom rung is most of the human race.

Bring back the guillotine, robbespierre was right.
