You know what? Sometimes Ed Shultz just pisses me all the way off.
He was just blabbering on about "why oh why are there no massive protests about the Iraq war, don't the American public even care?"

:argh:

Jeebus freakin' Christ on a cracker, where the fuck has this guy been---living under a rock?

Yeah, we've been protesting...

Again and again, and again...

While the mainstream media ignored us, and the righties vilified us and called us flag burning traitors...

NOW all of a sudden it's "cool" to protest, and he has the fucking gall to call us out on it?

Sometimes I just need to change that channel on that guy.

13. Send him the pics and tell him to pull his head out of his ass once
in awhile.

Direct him to DU and let him know that there are a lot of people fed up with this war and this administration.

Dumbass...

3. He can't think on his feet and respond effectively - has to be fed info
Edited on Wed May-31-06 03:17 PM by jean
or at the very least, get email response from listeners before he can develop a script for what he's going to say about any given topic. I don't listen anymore, but am glad he's a draw for fence-sitters and rednecks (which is what we're told he does).

edit: had to add ... maybe Ed hopes he can rile his listeners enough so they'll protest

6. I'm sorry, I couldn't take Randi anymore
I'm no redneck but I like Ed's show.He has good guests and allows dissenting comment, which makes for better discussion. JMO.

12. Randi and Malloy are my favorites. They speak for me.
Ed's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too "moderate" for me...if that's what you want to call him. IMCPO, he sounds too much like Limpballs to make him palatable for me. I liked him when he was on CNN a few weeks ago WITH Randi though. They did a great job of calling the RW hacks on their bullshit lies.

7. He is a RW hack. The only reason he got on the Left Talking show
is because his wife told him he would find an audience. He changed a little but is still a Right Wing hack. The only thing that happens in his world is on his show.

8. Gotta disagree Vincardog
He's more moderate, that's true, but a RW hack? I haven't heard or seen evidence of that.

11. Ask him what the most important thing is. He will say that it is that
Businesses make money. That is the starting point for his whole stick. Companies have to make money to advertise on his show. He is typical of the Republican mind set. Everything is about money and how it helps them personally.

5. I hear ya TJ, but do you realize that I, here in Ga. never hear about
BIG protests? I know, from DU, that there have been some, but even I believe there aren't the kind of protests people saw in the 60's because there is no draft!

Even I have to ask why more people didn't take to the streets over things like the NSA spying, the terrible illegal acts OUR military has done in Iraq, gas prices, and the secrecy of this admin in total? At what point will MOST of the people get fed up enough to go to the streets and scream?

I don't know! I personally think people just gripe a lot, but until a disaster hits them personally, you're not going to see much.

10. Partially true, but also because of lack of attention!...
When people go over and over again and try to grow numbers to noticeable size, the media is nowwhere to be found, and many times protestors are locked up in "protest zones". People don't have endless energy, and unfortunately, until we can get attention that will make a difference to those clueless that don't pay attention to much of anything outside their Nintendo spaces, it's going to be hard to sustain protests on a massive scale.

We need some triggering event (kind of like Hurricane Katrina was), where if we go out and protest with it, then we get the attention that goes along with it, then it will make it worthwhile for all of us to step out to be heard.

If after November's elections, we see massive evidence of voter fraud, etc., then that would be the time to march on Washington Ukraine style and wait until they take some substantive action to recount or redo the elections.

9. Does CNN ABC MSNBC etc. love to report people protesting republican wars
Edited on Wed May-31-06 03:35 PM by LaPera
for profit? FUCK NO!!!

The media are, the same owners who have stocks & interest in these same multi-nations...It's why they never give Democrat's a fair shake in elections or on any issues...The corporate media is the republican party...

They don't want mainstream America to see the unrest, the truth, the protest and our numbers...If everyone believes no one is protesting they believe everything must be okay.
