24. Where are the rest of the reports??
You think dark haired women don't go missing?? Make no mistake, the over-the-top reporting on missing white women is targeted at the "security moms", make them think twice about voting for those bleeding heart Democrats who only want criminals to have guns and won't even lock them up when they catch them.

27. Racist against blonde hair???
Okay, now that's just bordering on white supremacy and actually kind of funny.

White blonde girls get ALL the media attention when they go missing, and somebody points it out and they're the racist ones. Sorry, that's

26. No, it stems from the fact that many people go missing and...
it goes unreported by the MSM but then an attractive white, blonde goes missing and we have to hear about it for months, even though there are far more important issues in the world.

Some black kid in the ghetto is lucky to hit the local news and everyone forgets about it in ten minutes. Some white blond goes missing and it's showed down our throats as a diversion. That is where the racism lies.

Edited on Wed May-31-06 04:59 PM by mike_c
...since the abduction. Think a light just went off in a not-too-bright abductor's brain?

on edit: I guess you can't really blame CNN for that, but what were the cops thinking when they released that info to the press?

would be, the cops were thinking that releasing the info would help to find her, and it did.

11. Obviously her abduction isn't a joke
Why would you even say that?

The joke is that the national MSM will likely devote thousands of hours covering what should be a local story.

10. normally i wouldn't pay attention but i'm worried for this woman
the rule--Don't let them take you to a second location, at least i think thats the rule if you can manage to not let that happen because thats the place the victim usally gets killed at.

14. That is the rule. IF you can possibly get away, even if it means you'll
be injured or shot, do it.

In this case, there was a struggle, but she was pushed back into the car.

Personal safety experts stress that you should never, if at all possible, allow your attacker to take you from the site of the initial attack to any second location. Statistically, you are better off fighting for your life right there and then, no matter the threats used by your attacker, than cooperating and letting him remove you to his choice of next location. It's nearly guaranteed that the next place you are taken will be more isolated, improve the attacker's position and increase the time he can take with you, reduce his overall risk, and reduce your odds of being found.

15. Blondes need to take some responsiblity for their actions.
Let's face it: african-american girls, latinas, and redheads are rarely murdered. I know this for a fact, because if dark-haired women and girls were abused, it would be all over Fox News. And Fox News is highly accurate.

When you choose to be blonde, you're taking a risk. Obviously. Maybe if women stop dying their hair blonde these men will stop abducting and murdering them. These women need to take some responsibility for their murders. I'm not saying that there is ever a justification for murder, but if you go around town all blonde, what do you expect? There are plenty of women who dye their naturally blonde hair into perfectly modest shades of brown. There really is no excuse for blondeness. I'm sorry, but nobody *has* to be a blonde.

Isn't that where the word "brazen" comes from? Brassy? As in "brassy blonde hair". These victims really should be ashamed of themselves. They give all women a bad name.

(By the way, I refuse to use the sarcasm icon.)

It's really revolting and just feels like manipulation to gin up support for the "law and order" Republicans.
