Conservatives are at 50% as I write. :puke:
Both Unitarian churches in my city held, or are holding, town hall meetings for the candidates (isn't it great that the progressive faiths are doing this??!?). The Conservative representative, Rahim Jaffer, didn't bother with one (as last election, he again had 'scheduling conflicts' :eyes: He could have just sent in his assistant to impersonate him...).
Next week is the one in Anne McLellan's riding. I'll be going to that one, as all the candidates are booked.
No candidates have come to my door yet...I hope I'm home when the neocon guy comes round!

NDP guy show up in the building. Unfortunately for both of us, I've dealt with him for some time in various places and for various reasons......I'm around the co-op sector......and our spirits didn't take to one another. I don't trust him much more than I do the Conservative guy, and I really am hoping that Harper doesn't get a majority. Among other things, the idea of having a government complete with Stockwell Day is enough to give a person nightmares.

7. I'm hoping for no conservative government |
|
that's for sure! I watched the cons unveil their platform today..the whole media event *I'm tough, lol* then I watched the Liberal Finance Minister tear the platform to shreds (it was educational for sure, really worth watching - unfortunately most people won't even see it) Cons are definitely planning to back out of Kyoto..
and by the way, I wonder if people know that with a Liberal Government, we had/have another federal tax cut coming this year...but guess what if the cons get in ..no more personal tax cut this year, they'll scrap it - they are giving "tax cuts" in different ways...like proposing to cut the GST to 5%..whoopeeeee :sarcasm: ...gheesh they brought the GST in, and now this is the sales pitch.. I would prefer that the tax cuts planned by the libs stay! double poo-poo-crapola if they get it. Plus, numerous daycare spots that were going to be available in the Toronto area, and probably other areas are gonna be scrapped..and these spaces were to be available soon (I think)..instead cons are planning their money handout to parents instead..which doesn't create spaces????? dumb. dumb. and dumber.

8. No one has explained to me......... |

What a tax cut is going to do to provide child care if there are no spaces available for the child to enroll in. Besides, in Toronto, depending on your income, you could spend 1200 in a month for child care!

9. exactly, you got it. exactly. |

it's sad if the cons win..as a lot of things that were/are to kick in this year with the Libs will be gone.
