VIDEO-Bush the ass #1 to German Chancellor Merkel |
|
We've got something in common, we both didn't exactly landslide our way into officeSo, what's he trying to do? Insult her into being a loser like him. What an ASS. I had to clip this twice from two different angles to fully show his smirk.

4. Question to anyone about the German Chancellor? |
|
Is she "conservative" or from a "conservative party"...didn't she just recently beat out Schroeder - wasn't he more of a moderate or liberal leaning?

8. Angela Merkel is a member |
|
of the Christian Democratic Union, a centre right party; Gerhard Shroeder is a member of the Social Democratic Party, a centre left party.
Both parties are now in coalition after the recent election failed to produce a clear winner. Both parties ended up in the mid 30% and, even with coalition partners (CDU: the CSU and FDP, SPD: the Greens) neither could make it past 50%.
Both parties ran on neo-liberal platforms promising privatisation, de-regulation and all the usual anti-people policies. This is why they did badly - both parties received the smallest votes in their history.
The biggest gainers in German politics is the Left Party which, in its first election, gained nearly 9% and over 50 MPs. The FDP (centrist) did relatively well too but not enough to join a right wing coalition with the CDU.

6. Don't worry. Merkel has been coached on |
|
"Bush the Clown". Shortly after she took office, European leaders called her up on the phone. They wanted to cue her in on what to expect from The American Court Jester.
European Leader: "Hi, Angela. Contratulations on winning.
Merkel: Thanks.
Leader: We just wanted to fill you in on what to expect from Bush. We know you're going there next week.
Merkel: So, what do you think about him?
Leader: Oh, we all agree: he is a clown. Nobody likes him in America, except just a few. We've got the REAL poll numbers. You know.....those poor Americans are fooled. Not like us here in Europe. We know the real scoop.
Merkel: Yes, I know.
Leader: Just humor him. Act nice. Nod a lot. Smile. Because you know, he's not the real leader.
Merkel: Oh?
Leader: Yes, that's right. He's just a puppet. Cheney's the REAL leader. Watch out for him.
