Gas prices going up again--imagine that. |
|
In upstate SC, they had dropped .10 or .15 recently. They've come back up again though.
2.65 at an Ingles station this morning. Last week it was 2.52.

5. ditto out here, and we can actually see some refineries! |

Imagine that! I always wondered how come it gets cheaper after they ship it say to Ohio when it takes all that expensive gas to haul it.

2. but..but..but..the master terrorist is dead! |

I mean, the media keeps telling us that oil and gas prices are going down, right?!?
Seriously, gas prices should be going down somewhat as wholesale prices have gone down a bit (like 10-20 cents). So your gas station is just taking advantage of "summer driving season" to pad their profits some more...

8. Up down up down up down up down . . . |
|
But always up a little more and down a little less. It's called desensitization. That way when gas is 3.50 and then goes down to 3.29, people breathe a sigh of relief. Then up to 3.75 and down to 3.50 a few weeks later, and people feel a sigh of relief. And it goes on. http://66.70.86.46/test.gaschart?Country=Canada&Crude=f&Period=36&Areas=LosAngeles,,&Unit=US%20$/G
