At first, the "bushisms" were funny and cute, but the more I hear this moron, the more it frays my nerves in thinking that there are far to few Americans that do not realize that this man is...

Stupid.

1. I have been appalled from the beginning!

Of course, I have always admired the precise British method of speech. I regret the deterioration of our everyday vocabulary, the quality of our discourse suffers greatly for it.

3. He's the worst kind of representative or role model
If the world gets its view of Americans by looking at our leader, we appear to be bumbling fools.

I always thought that Putin would kick George's ass to the curb, both physically (he's a black belt) and mentally (chess, anyone?).

Perhaps I'm a typical American, but I want to be able to pick my leader out of a group and say "He/She is the best person there." When Bush appears with other world leaders I don't feel that way.

In fact, I feel the opposite.

Is there a show called "Trading Leaders" that we can all get involved in?

5. Like melting snow. More and more each day.
I know many people who at first whole heartedly supported him and his policies. Over time, they become less amused with his mis-phrasings. Then they become less amused by him. Eventually, they become opposed to his policies as well.

Which tells me that much of America pays far more attention to personality than policies. They must first hate the man, then hate his deeds. If they love the man, they feel he can do no wrong.

Conversely, a person could be doing great good for the country, but they won't see that so long as they don't like him.

No wonder Swartzenneger and Reagan could get elected. No wonder so many of our politicos can stay elected. No wonder our government is a choatic morass.

6. Doesn't have to open his mouth; I cringe whenever I have to LOOK at him!
And if I can't grab the remote and change channels fast enough, he inevitably does open his mouth. Then I usually become ill.

7. monikers
I love your screen name. What is it with the Bushie jerky jaw? Even when he's strutting to the helicopter, giving his Heil Hitler wave, the jaw is working like mad. I used to think it was only when he talks but it seems to shift furiously continually. Maybe it is indicative of his state of mind (mad in both senses of the term) or maybe it's a long-term cocaine effect. Which?

14. Google "Tardive Dyskinesia" - aka "eating air hoagies"
Edited on Sat Jan-14-06 10:57 AM by hatrack
What is Tardive Dyskinesia?

Tardive Dyskinesia, or TD, is one of the muscular side effects of anti-psychotic drugs, especially the older generation like haloperidol. TD does not occur until after many months or years of taking antipsychotic drugs, unlike akathisia (restlessness), dystonia (sudden and painful muscle stiffness) and Parkinsonism (tremors and slowing down of all body muscles), which can occur within hours to days of taking an antipsychotic drug. TD is primarily characterized by random movements in the tongue, lips or jaw as well as facial grimacing, movements of arms, legs, fingers and toes, or even swaying movements of the trunk or hips. TD can be quite embarrassing to the affected patient when in public. The movements disappear during sleep. They can be mild, moderate or severe. (emphasis added)

How does an individual get TD?

Essentially, prolonged exposure to antipsychotic treatment (which is necessary for many persons who have chronic schizophrenia) is the major reason that TD occurs in an individual. Some persons get it sooner than others. The risk factors that increase the chances of developing TD are a) duration of exposure to antipsychotics (especially the older generation), b) older age, c) post-menopausal females, d) alcoholism and substance abuse, e) mental retardation and f) experiencing a lot of EPS in the acute stage of antipsychotic therapy.

The mechanism of TD is still unknown despite extensive research. However, it is generally believed that long-term blocking of dopamine D2 receptors (which is what all antipsychotics on the market do) causes an increase in the number of D2 receptors in the striated region of the brain (which controls muscle coordination). This "up-regulation" of D2 receptors may cause spontaneous and random muscle contractions or movements throughout the body, but particularly in the peri-oral and facial muscles.

8. The media makes excuses for him
It's like the emperor's new clothes . . . I keep waiting for the news anchors to cut back from the soundbites and go, "that was our incoherent, illiterate president, mangling and abusing the English language once again, all the while doling out veiled threats and outright lies . . ."

But . . . it never happens.

10. He was the same way as governor.
The man is simply put....and IDIOT! Way too much COKE and BOOZE in his past. His brain, I sincerely believe, is BURNT!

In 2000, the biggest lie I heard him say was when he told Oprah..."I'm not running on my daddy's name". With his "experience", knowledge of the job requirements, policy ideas, etc....if his name HADN'T been BUSH.....he couldn't have gotten himself elected DOG CATCHER in this state.

But those who wanted to believe the TWO BIG LIES....that George H.W. Bush was a successful president...AND that the Bush "Royals" are actually TEXANS.....bought into those lies and elected the SOB.

And when you hear how King Idiot was able to work in Texas on a bipartisan basis....know that the Lieutenant Governor, at the time a Democrat, went out of HIS way to work with the governor....it wasn't the other way around. Bush doesn't know the MEANING of the word bipartisan.....

.....then on the other hand, he doesn't know the meaning of MOST WORDS.

16. He's Become My "Hi Bob" Now
Cause this fukstick is on the tube so much and his mannerisms and malprops are so predictable, I've turned it into a game. Feel free to play along...

Take a shot, toke, snort, sip, hit, pop or whatever every time the bastard smirks, or mispronounces "nuclear" or gets an awkward laugh (usually his own...Goober Pyle style) or insults someone in the crowd. You're guaranteed to feel no pain in no time.

when they ran W's after-breakfast remarks with Alito. (I turn them on occasionally when I've had enough of the two O'Briens on CNN -- and I haven't been able to stomach Matt and Katie in the morning for a very long time. At least, Imus's guys display some skepticism.)
