Goofy booosh and New German Chancellor Angela Merkel
Did anyone see goofy boooshie and his comments to Angela Merkel ... about meeting "alone" with her for 45 minutes and finding her "smart, funny, and something like "has a special spirt" that makes her "appealing." What kind of goofball comment is that? And he was leaning on the podium sideways, looking her up and down like a frat-bro at a pick-up bar! People talk about Clinton and women ... he never demeaned ANY woman in that kind of way! I thought booooshie's remarks, attitude, and general comments were completely OUT OF LINE!!! She's a HEAD OF STATE, for god's sake! But also, ... she bears a slight resemblence to Harriet Miers ... maybe that is "his type?"

2. Der Spiegel reported positively on Merkel's visit,
but in the excerpts I saw of the press conference after their meeting, Bush was condescending, disrespectful and insane acting. Merkel looked embarrassed to me. I had the sense that she was trying to maintain the dignity of the occasion and establish a good rapport with the American people at all costs. Bush seems to think he has Merkel in his pocket and showed her no respect. The remark about neither he nor Merkel being elected by landslides and the expression on his face when he delivered that line were downright rude in the context of a public press conference following his first meeting with the leader of one of our most important allies. Bush's explanation that his meeting with Merkel was "diplomacy" was infantile and insulting to the reporters and the American people. Bush's mental state is deteriorating rapidly. We've got a crazy man at the helm. God help us.

I thought she looked terribly uncomfortable and embarrassed by his remarks. But, she was the diplomat of the two ... and let his actions go with no put-down of him. His actions and words say it all ... THIS freak should not be in charge of ANYTHING. Was he on drugs, drunk, or is he just that darn stupid?

10. Might I add:
My statements that Bush is crazy and insane are not just hyperbole. He appears to follow his impulses and to speak without censoring what he says. He appears to have no sense of how what he says will be heard by the person to or about whom he is speaking. I have seen that kind of behavior in people who are going through emotional crises. His statements do not appear to be considered or reasoned. How pitiful. I feel sorry for our country.

By contrast, Clinton, even when under enormous stress due to the constant publicity about Monica Lewinsky and his impeachment trial seemed a bit depressed but never blurted out impulsive statements of the kind Bush offered in his press conference with Merkel. We should be expressing our concern and drawing media attention to Bush's erratic comments.

13. I wouldn't worry too much about Angela
Merkel. Being a woman, recently elected to one of the world's strongest economies, she is no whimp. She is no doubt tough as nails.

The article said that she "refused to ride in a motorcade with Limo's and flags, and chose to walk to the Capitol". This shows that she does her own thing, obviously snubs White House schmoozing American ways.

And I have NO doubt other people cued her in on what to expect with Bush. Other European leaders probably called her and gave her tips on the "Clown". Of course, nothing can prepare you for this idiot.

But at least she knows the Court Jester has a reputation.
