So are we truly, actually, literally TRAPPED in Iraq?
Because everyone on the media and most of the talking heads all constanly re-inforce this notion.

"We gotta finish the job". "We must honor the fallen by finishing the job". "We can't cut and run or it was all for nothing", etc.

Is this some bizarre mass hypnosis?

2. Seems Iraq is bound to become the 51st state, whether we want it
or not, and whether they want it or not.

Democracy shoved down your throat...you will love freedom, or you will die! Nice. And who out there still believes George Bush is a Christian?

3. No, man, that Mission has been Accomplished ... two or three times now..
War is good for business.
Media is business
Therefore war is good for media.

Why would the media be preaching anything else?

4. No, we are not trapped but

since you or I or the majority of Americans who do not want us there have no say in the matter, the War will continue.

The God Ordained, All Powerful and Eternal State determines what is best for you.

And that which is best is for some Americans to die, some Americans to make millions and for the State to grow and grow...

5. It can't go on forever without us getting kicked out or ...
without us bringing back the draft. But essentially we are trapped by the warmongering right and the gutless Dem's that afraid of standing up to them.

6. Bush can't pull out without acknowledging defeat.
As long as we stay in Iraq, there is arguably some hope that we might still win, someday.

But once we pull out the loss is "locked in" at that point.

Bush is too weak to admit he lost the war. That's why he has to keep the troops over there.

Bush hopes some future president is going to pull pull out the troops and take the blame.

But what he doesn't understand is that we have 18-24 months, tops, before the Army breaks down.

8. there was NEVER an intention to leave.
you don't build the multibillion dollar self-sustaining embassy BUSH palace, larger than vatican city, and 14 permanent military bases in a country you "liberated" if you are only performing a temporary occupation.

follow the money.

10. Only until the Iraqis finally kick us out.
Or, until the empire goes completely broke trying to "defend our honor".

11. There was never a plan to leave.
Look at the embassy and the military bases. We will leave Iraq once the last drop of oil is used up and we will use it as a staging ground to attack Iran as oil get more scarce.
