1. A "turning point?" They must be joking |
|
Unless they plan on declaring "victory," now that the supposed "mastermind" behind 9/11 is "dead." (Usama Bin WHO?) Just more utter bullshit for the sheeple.

3. Frankly I would love to see him gone - it would be justice |
|
As he would be the first person held accountable for 9-11 who was actually responsible for it.

Al Zawari has consistly been considered the number 2 or 1 man depending on if he is actually the planner and Bin Laden the banker

I'm not sure anymore if al-Zawahiri is such a big problem for us. After all, we all should know that we can't believe anything the government says anymore. I'd be firmly against bin laden and al-Z if the administration came out and named them as allies. Many blame bin laden/al-Z for 9-11 - perhaps rightfully so. But it was the incompetence of the administration that really allowed this horrendous day to occur.
Read the freakin' memo, listen to Clarke - and these "terrorists" are marginalized to the fanatic status that our current leaders should share. Face it, capturing bin laden /al-Z removes much of the straw from the administration's fear strategy.

9. Amorphous Organizations |

I agree, it is not like we are dealing with a wall street company, these people dont have a corporate hierarchy. It is a loosely connected organization with bands scattered throughout the mideast. They would like us to think there is a corporate type structure, and by taking down the CEO's we can break up the corporation, but that isnt how it is.

10. These groups all have their local agendas |
|
but cooperate by sharing intelligence, ideas, targeting information, logistical networks and communications. As in Afghanistan during the Soviet occupation, some are hostile towards each other but are fighting a common enemy. I worked with some of them during the '80s when we were allies and found them to be hospitable and friendly. I never had any fear of being attacked because they have a very strong sense of hospitality, even when working alone in the field. It's a shame we had to make enemies of them.
