GEN. McCAFFREY on Meet The Press
Here is the entire transcript if you missed it BUT this is a great quote.....

quote.......
So the question is political primarily. Look, unemployment is a bigger problem than the AIF, the Iraqi insurgent force. I think that’s the other challenge. We spent 18 billion on economic reconstruction. There’s only 1.6 billion left in the pipeline. Tim, when that money runs out, in my judgment, we just lost the war. We’ve got to sustain the economic reconstruction of Iraq and Afghanistan, for that matter.
end quote........

Where the f*ck is $16 BILLION?

1. It got frittered away everywhere but real reconstruction
because the money had you know, actual accounting safeguards, which the administration opposed vehemently...

So they just started spending lots of it on security to support reconstruction, and before you know it, there's no more money for ACTUAL reconstruction, because it went to security for reconstruction.

And so, Congress' bid for oversight is frustrated.

4. You mean that giant building they're constructing called the US Embassy?
I wonder if there's a hellipad on top of that building. If there is, we might have to exit from Baghdad when it falls the same way we exited from Saigon when it fell to North Viet Nam.
