Gore needs to touch on the Medicare Rx program as life-threatening
to our elderly and disabled as part of his speech on Monday. From having their votes trashed in 2000 to the Medicare Rx Bushbot program, the elderly, disabled and children have been under attack by the Bush administration. It's almost criminal what is happening to them under this administration.

1. I would say that it IS criminal.
Front page story on WaPo this morning- states are having to kick in money
to buy drugs because the new Bushbot program is a DISASTER.

More blood on Bush's hands....

2. and the fact that in their debates the drug companies and
prescription drug coverage WAS mentioned

(Gore)
All right, here we go again. Now, look, if you want someone who will spin a lot of words describing a whole convoluted process and then end up supporting legislation that is supported by the big drug companies, this is your man," Vice President Gore said of Texas Gov. Bush in describing the competing prescription drug coverage proposals of the two.
(Bush)
Bush said Gore had attempted to create a nationalized health care system against public will, and had failed to bring meaningful prescription drug coverage to seniors through Medicare.

3. WTF? "Gore needs to..."
There are hundreds of valid and important issues that could be addressed.

WHYYYYYY are people saying what he should speak about???!! Are people setting the speech up for a false failure because he didn't address this or that?!

Can we just LISTEN to him and give him support?

4. Gore did just that and it was one of finest point to hit the message home
to people who secrecy and Presidential arrogance are ok. Gore nailed it and used the Medicare Rx secrecy, lying, arrogance and abuse of power as an example of an unchecked and unchallenged Presidency and administration.
