KYW 1060 in Philly has a new guy( well this is the first I've heard of him)
He went off on a "Business Report" yesterday that I couldn't let get by without a response.
He started off with GM going bankrupt because of the unfair wages and benefits that the UAW has demanded.
He said that the non-union japanese auto makers are rolling in the dough.
He gave the "grinch" award to the NYC transit union for going on strike.
He said that if the wages weren't so high, the riders would PAY LESS for their rides.

This is the email I sent:

I heard your "business report" today, and once again, the half truths and outright lies were apparent.
To blame GM's woes on the UAW is a typical republican lie.
If your "reporter" had been telling the truth, he would have reported that GM's reluctance to change with the MARKET forces (remember those?, the holy grail of capitalism?) and their insistence in over paying their executives huge ,undeserved salaries is the reason they are in trouble.
To blame the NYC transit workers for striking for legitimate reasons was a lie too.
He claimed that if they didn't get raises, the riders would get cheaper fares.
This is a blatant lie, as we all know that they would NEVER pass savings on to their riders.
So, you need to stop shilling for big business, who want to destroy unions.
Unions have been the cause of the middle class, the engine that drives (and has driven) our economy.
We, as Americans, need MORE unions, not less.
But, you and your republican owners care little for the average wage earner.
To you, the bottom line is more important then the health and well being of millions of middle class folks.
I call foul on your anti-union diatribe.
How about a piece on how the union movement has helped the millions of poor to enter the middle class?

I am waiting for a response.
But, I don't think I will get one.
