So all the military backs the President and the War in Iraq, right? |
|
Not according to the guy on CSPAN this morning. He belongs to the www.bandofbrothers.org.
He is one of many who are running for Congress this year and they ALL are Democrats. He said their group is the largest number of Veterans running for office during the same election.
Already the right is calling in attacking him. For what? Because they are soldiers running for Congress? Hell no, it's because they are all Democrats.
Check out their website.
I haven't seen this posted before . . . sorry if repeat.

It looks like a fundie site. I didn't see anything about dem soldiers running for congress. Are you sure you have the correct link?
Please tell me it was a mistake and you didn't put that bullshit website up on purpose.

2. Turn on your TV to CSPAN I and you will see it is not BS as you |
|
so eloquently put it.
Mike Lyons is on there now. I thought I had the right site @ www.bandofbrothers.org.
He claims there are over 4 dozen of them running for Congress all over the Country. Also, they just said CSPAN has the site URL listed.

4. OOOPs. My bad I got the right URL now. Sorry and I can see |
|
why you thought it was bullshit.
www.bandofbrothers2006.org Now you can see what I'm talking about.

now that's what I'm talkin' about! Getting these veterans up in front is the way to go. I'm thinking there is no affliliation between the two groups,(bandofbrothers) and (bandofbrothers2006). They don't link their websites to each other.
I didn't mean to jump up so hard, but when I went to your original link, I felt like the Jehovah's Wtnesses had knocked on my computer screen on a Sunday morning.
I need my coffee.....

10. Yeah, when I read it I thought, "Oh Hell no he didn't?" LOL |
|
Just kidding. I got so excited seeing when I heard the guy say 48 of them would be running for office I didn't pay attention. Then I looked at the other site and thought, no wonder he thought I was a nut.
I really don't know all about them, that is why I wanted to post the URL (finally the right URL). I plan on reading up on them if there are any in my area as well as others. The guy that was on CSPAN announcing their run was kind of cocky (which kind of surprised me). Every time a neocon would call in, he would tilt his head a bit and seemed uncomfortable in his seat. He really didn't seem to want to answer anything they asked. He seemed a little like Dumbya with the his lack of oral skills. However, I never thought Ronald Reagan could get anything out without saying "well" and now the Republicans call him the Great Communicator.
You ought to go to CSPAN.org/washington journal and watch the program. He came on after the reporter from USA Today paper.
Then the guy that came on after Mr. Lyons was a former amb. to the UN for Iran. This neocon called in and started telling him that she did not appreciate him coming into "her" country and insulting "her" president above anything. At first he didn't understand what she was saying, then he caught on and was really pissed off as he was an American Citizen and paid taxes just as she did. CSPAN must have cut the woman off because he told her off but good.
Enjoy your coffee . . .

Really interesting, and the number of dem vets running is both startling and heartening. I think he said something like 45 are running. But you do have the wrong web site. I'm not sure what the right one is but the one you're referring to is indeed a weird christian fundie site.

In fact, most aren't. They are, however, all vets. Some are vets of conflicts. Others aren't.

12. Yeah, you're right. Lyon didn't say when or where he served. I just |
|
assumed he was a vietnam vet due to his age. He repeatedly did say 48 veterans though. He has never said they were all Iraqi vets (sorry if I posted that somewhere). He just stated that some were. . . my bad.
I'm posting their URL on all the blogs and journals I come across. Republicans too. They don't scare me . . . never did . . . never will . . . bbbbbwwwaahhhhhhhh (evil laughing).
Hearing about them though does spark up some excitement. I'm not going to get too excited until I read up about them, where they stand on some of the issues, etc.
Imagine if we took over the Mjority in 2006.

13. I never did see how the overseas military voted in the last election |
|
The GOPers were making such a big deal out of it in 2000. I wonder what percentage voted for Kerry.

14. According to them probably 0% because they do not count all the |
|
votes. Also, they can kick my ass because NO I will not "get over" any stolen elections. I will never forget and I will never forget or let go the way one of our best presidents was treated by the neocons who impeached the man only because they had the majority.
If we get the majority in 2006, first we will have to learn how to steal the votes. Until then, we will never win anything.
