www.bandofbrothers2006.org (sorry everyone. The other one
is something else. My previous post listed www.bandofbrothers.org. Totally different place. The correct URL is as posted but I'll put it again.

www.bandofbrothers2006.org.

The man on there stated that there are over four dozen veterans running for office all across the U.S. and they are all running as Democrats and are retired vets.

Mike Lyons, the guest, states that those that succeeded in trashing a Vietnam Vet, Kerry. who served his country bravely, then turned Bush, who did not even finish his service here at home into a hero, in 2004 election were a part of the neoconservative movement of the Swift boat veterans and Veterans for Truth. He said let someone come up and try to trash 48 of us.

He is claiming that we all are not getting the same information (we knew that . . . the right is the ones with their heads in the ground), and that they are going to get the true information out and stop this bureaucratic cronyism. Sounds like a movement to me.

6. Thanks Hurd but I got off in another direction and missed your post
before signing off this morning. I just signed back on here a few minutes ago (around 11 p.m.) and, of course, it's too late now; however, I appreciate your reminding me at the time.

4. Good strategy. I like their unified values statement:
Health care for all
Responisble use of the military
I got a sense after looking through most of the bios that they are running because they are fed up. That's a very good reason, IMO.

Murtha should gather them all for a sit-down.

The neo-con chicken hawks will call them "opportunists" - just wait.
:)

7. Name calling? Of course, what else do they know. They don't know what
issues the majority of the American People want taken care of. First and foremost they do know that we want our troops back home. They are nothing but target practice to the terrorists who now are getting the best training they could ask for. Plus they don't even have to travel off of their own soil. What a setup Dumbya has fixed for the terrorists. He sent our young men and women to be slaughtered. A couple today, 20 tomorrow, 1 the next day, then 14. The terrorists do not care where they kill Americans . . . as long as they are killing Americans. THAT is the reason we have not been attacked on our soil . . . not because Cheney and Bush claim they have kept it from happening. Puhlease! Just because they are stupid does not mean we are.

Just wait until we get closer to the elections. First the neocons like Falwell start going absolutely nuts. You think Robertson is saying some nutty things now, wait until we are near the elections this year. It usually starts to get really bad around labor day. Then the chicken hawks will probably start bringing some of the troops home with promises of a lot of them coming home

The Neocons will, of course, attack the 48 Veterans if they are still up and running for office. They're unpatriotic (all 48) because they are against an illegal war. Also, by calling it an illegal war for "oil", they do not support our troops (48 veterans don't support our troops).

It's like what Mr. Lyons said . . . he wants them to try and discredit 48 veterans who finished with honorable discharges. Also, Those so-called Swift boat Veterans who suddenly came out of their holes who claimed Dubya finished his military service with honors no less. Then they were able to change Kerry into a deserter almost and totally destroyed his history of serving this country. The same way they did Max Cleland AND the way they are going to try to do to Murtha.

I say, "Bring it on!" Murtha was in the military over 30 years. That might be a tough one for them to try to embarrass and/or humiliate, especially him being a 30-year veteran.

I'm sure Rove will make up something that has a little truth to it, but they make it 100 times worse.
