We're actually going to have to fight them for it |
|
Our nation that is. they are forcing a revolution, literally, it's getting to the point where that is the only solution.

3. No, not the nation- WE are the nation. |

The crooks in gov't have gone way too far and rescuing the nation, putting them out of power, often takes a revolution of sorts. As I'm sure you meant, that "damn piece of paper" outlined, and continues to direct, the bloodless mini-revolurions that, for one hundred forty years now, have constrained the amount of violence.

4. They won't just leave, even if voted out |
|
They have worked for decades to set this whole deal up. We must understand what we are facing.
The election fraud in Florida in 2000. 9-11 in 2001. Election fraud in Georgia in 2002. Wellstone killed. Anthrax. The war in Iraq. Thye gutting of the treasury. These people mean to destroy America.
There is nothing these people will not do to get in and keep power.
Peaceful protests have been tried. Look at Miami, Washington, NYC, Boston.
Truth is, I think they want a revolution, to justify a police state. But if peaceful means don't work, what's left?

5. I hate to say it but... |

I agree. We're going to end up having to fight them. The weight of the sadness as I type this is numbing.

An illegal or armed revolt won't work. We are outmanned and outgunned. You would get marshall law, more loss of rights...all kinds of things this nation has never seen. Having said that, I would guess that corporate board rooms and top politicos would throw this administration under the bus before allowing any type of revolution to occur. These guys are replaceable and other corporatists would be put in place before they allow the corrupt system to change significantly.
An economic boycott/revolution might work but there's no guarantee that someone cut from corporatist cloth would be defeated by someone who represents the people in upcoming election.
Another type of revolution that might work is personal revolution by one of the insiders: Powell, Tenet, Lott. Someone who can step forward and say enough is enough. If Powell came clean, for instance, I think there could be major changes.
I think congressional revolution could result in something interesting. If all dem leaders shut down government...there's something. If all dem leaders marched on the white house...there's something. However: see Chomskey article in GD. Won't happen.
So...revolution, yes. But not all revolutions will work. We need an insider.
