I Wake Up Each Day With 100% Renewed Expectation and Confidence That
the media and newspapers were going to do a complete 180 overnight and all of a sudden report on things exactly as I want them to. I wake up fully expecting that the talking heads on cable news will proclaim the err of their ways and become my personal heroes by speaking exactly about everything I want them to.

I also wake up each day 100% thinking that this time there will be a sack filled with a million dollars under my pillow.

I wake up each day 100% convinced that when I turn the flame on the stove on it will form icicles.

I wake up each day 100% expecting that this time when I jump off the stairs I will actually be able to fly.

I wake up each day totally thinking that though it is January I will be able to go outside shirtless in north jersey and lay out in the sun to get a tan.

I wake up each day just KNOWING that today is the day that every where I go to buy stuff they will say "no, don't pay us, it is free today"

I wake up each day expecting fairies, pixies and leprechauns to be dancing and flying around my bed.

Oh, wait, no I don't. I don't wake up with any of these expectations. If I did, I'd probably be deemed an utter fool.

1. Where in North Jersey
do you have these delusions?

I was born and raised and married and gave birth twice in Somerville.

8. Ahhh
I went to a boarding school in Morris County in Mendham. It is now a rehab center. The convent is still there, though.

I have classmates from Denville.

My father-in-law is still in Somerville.

3. Actually, wait around for a little bit...
and with the effects of global warming, you probably WILL be able to lay outside shirtless in New Jersey in January.

7. I hate the cold too!
That's why I still live in Houston.

I'd much prefer to live in a blue state, but they're all so damm cold!

Dammit.

9. Come on down to
Tallahassee. The best of Florida. No palm trees. No sand. Just gentle weather (except in August!)

10. Ha Ha
I was going to add that you wake up each day and by the time you have finished your coffee you are ready to take a little arsenic. I am an optimist and optimism is a good thing but not for the faint of heart these days, true?
