I'm watching Apollo 13, and remembering Cronkite, Huntley, etc. |

Today, instead of those wonderful men, we have dweebs like Katie Couric and the assholes on cable.
No wonder our country is going down the toilet.

Fred Haise, Jack Swigert, Ken Mattingly, Sy Liebergot, Guenter Wendt (OK, so Guenter didn't have much to do with Apollo 13 other than tucking the crew in) but my point being that there does seem to be certain values lost these days. Of course, not much for the women to do back then. That's changed a lot though.

From Walter Cronkite, Huntley and Brinkley, and before them Edward R. Murrow to the clowns and lightweights around now. It really is a reflection of what happened when televison became all about money.
On edit: Keith Oberman would have fit in with the first group.
