Tamara Hoover Defense Fund
Tamara Hoover has elected to defend her First Amendment Rights and challenge her termination. This can fly in Austin, we are a liberal city and public opinion is mounting solisdly behind her. Here is the link and the blurb from the site:

snip>
ARTIST AND ART Teacher (termination pending) at a high school in Austin, Texas . Looking for help with funding the gathering of evidence to defend myself against the Austin Independant School District. (both civil and criminal). They are firing me for pictures of me being on a website (celesta) and claiming the website is pornographic. The district isn't even asking to hear my side. At this time, I have been advised not to share too much information about my case. But as soon as I get the ok I will gladly share more of my story.

1. The "something sweet" bit does not sound like this is for real.
This looks like a scam. Has anyone checked this story?

3. It's real but...
I am a little old fashioned but seems like she used poor judgement.

The Austin school teacher whose topless pictures appeared on an Internet site is finally speaking out. She says the Austin Independent School District is wrong for wanting to fire her.

KXAN's Sonta Henderson sat down with Tamara Hoover for an hour. She believes the pictures are artistic and won't diminish her ability to teach.

She also says she won't back down from the district.

"If you're not doing what you love, then what you're teaching is a lie," Hoover said.

2. I know she immediately wrote me back thanking me.
I certainly don't think it is a scam. Obviously if I did I wouldn't have posted that she had a defense fund. If you feel it is don't donate to it...
