Is Bush suffering from presenile dementia?
http://adbuzz.com/bushbuzz.htm
This site questions whether or not there is something medically wrong with George W and offers different possibilities to describe the difference between George Bush of today and the one 10 years ago. They put together a nice video here - http://adbuzz.com/OLD/bushbuzz/BushTenYears.mov

4. A small stroke or seizure. Before we started on this, we would have dismissed this - but then again, remember "the pretzel incident?" There is a bit of unsubstantiated rumor from the White House from TBR that has the ring of possibility – but these days, doesn't everything? Here's an excerpt…
"At some time in the past, according to both and the President suffered what one of his aides called "a very minor seizure"
and as a result of this, the President has a very difficult time following any unscripted conversations. For this reason, his staff carefully and
aggressively protect the President from "unexpected" questions that he is
not capable of answering."
"The President takes oral medication at least twice a day according to because of an unspecified "indisposition' and this subject is
strictly off limits for any casual staff conversation."
"At one point during a staff conference, the President stood up and began to speak in an unknown language. Mr. Rove was able to stop the President and get him to resume his seat. It was reported by that for a period of time (about fifteen minutes) after this incident, the President appeared to be 'somewhat confused and very inarticulate.'"
"White House staff members report that they rarely see the President during work hours and that when they do, he is generally accompanied by Mr. Rove and almost never either looks at or speaks to members of the staff. He does
not appear to recognize many of the staff members and almost all contactwith these individuals are carried out by his close aides, especially by Mr. Rove."
“Bush holds as few meetings with the public, including the press, as possible. We get reams of official papers informing us of this or that new directive. Those of us who have an inside track with the staff are taken to dinner and given the questions to ask Bush. These are questions he has been thoroughly briefed on and has memorized the answers for. Anyone who persists in pushing the envelope gets a rocket from the Rove people and does not get invited back.”

1. Advanced untreated syphillis, perhaps?
Or just Reaganitis?
No, I think he really may have an organic problem that has been untreated for too long.

2. Dementia implies you had something to lose. * has always
been a dumbass. He could just say dumb things faster ten years ago. (I've seen the video).

3. It's possible.
If I am not mistaken, weren't rumors going around about Reagan during his administration too, and laughed at back then? And don't forget, we're talking about an alcoholic and cokehead who may have gone back to some of his old habits.

9. when it was finally "officially" announced that ray-gun had alzheimer's,
I called a friend in CA, and said, "are you and I the ONLY ones who knew he had it back when he was the governor?" it didn't take a medical expert to figure it out.

something is seriously wrong with the chimperor, and that is clear to anybody who isn't a sheeple. whether it's alcohol, coke, a stroke, or drugs, there is something very clearly wrong with him. and yes, the media should be doing their jobs and calling this out--it was one thing to hide the fact that FDR was in a wheelchair--his BRAIN worked. on the other hand, I don't believe the chimperor's brain has ever worked

4. What is deeply troubling
Edited on Sun Jun-18-06 05:31 PM by madaboutharry
is the cover up involved in this and the refusal of the media to call him out. The man is not competent to serve as president. That is the bottom line.

7. They have him flying around the country every day and now he
takes questions from reporters. Joshua Frank says he thinks Bush is on Lithium because he's a manic. He think Bush is unregulated on the medication so sometimes he veers off script and starts doing his "Frat Boy" routine where he makes inappropriate jokes. The interview with Frank was posted here on DU on Friday.

10. Speech patterns have changed in the past 10 yrs. and all the lip licking..
is weird.

Watch the C-Span tapes of his debates with Ann Richards and he is coherent and doesn't have near the Southern accent.

All the lip licking, jaw clenching etc. is kind of weird.

16. Lacking a brain altogether. Commonly refers to a congenital condition.
But in his case, I suspect it is acquired. He had at least HALF a brain as a kid.

19. He spoke a LANGUAGE?
"At one point during a staff conference, the President stood up and began to speak in an unknown language."

Considering how much he's managed to mangle the English language over the years, maybe he needs a little pat on the back for actually learning a language.

20. I think when he feels very religious
Edited on Sun Jun-18-06 07:32 PM by libodem
he tries to speak in tongues. I saw a clip some time ago where he was getting on a plane. He was surrounded by his minions and was giving some fundamentalist jargon talk and then broke out in some weird prayer language. Just odd. He's on high doses of an antidepressant like Paxil or Zoloft. Maybe he has some extraparimial movements...like the chronic eye blinking and the jaw tics. Maybe his brain can't take the dichotomy of saying one thing when he knows the opposite is true. Everyone in his cabinet must have that cognitive dissonance to survive. They all have to hide their 'real' selves and present a facade to the world. I hope all of our hate vibes penetrate the sacred halls of Washington D.C. and melt their insides to jello. >edit spelling I don't think I spelled extraparimital correctly and it doesn't come up on spell check for me sorry
