4. Errr, wasn't your original question who signed the censure bill,
and where could you find it? That's what I was responding to.

3. Untrue. There is nothing that shows who the co-sponsors are.
I searched for nearly 15 minutes, trying every link I could think of. If I'm wrong -- if I merely couldn't find the link -- please post it, and I will surely apologize in print.

(I absolutely agree with what Conyers is doing -- but I doubt there's more than five others in Senate and House combined who have the courage to stand with him, and only a tiny (and dwindling) number of citizens who have the courage to openly defy the corporate/fascist regime that now rules America. I am sure the resultant minimal response is why there is no link to a sponsors' list.)

6. I'm looking for congresspeople who joined Conyers
in co-sponsoring these resolutions. As of last Saturday Jan 7 there were a total of 8. I asked my congressperson to sign on and I wanted to see if she did.

This is from Conyers' page but its kind of ambiguous. I was hoping the 121 were representatives.

"I have sought answers from the administration to questions arising from the Downing Street Minutes, the Valerie Plame leak, and scores of other abominable abuses of power that pervade the activities of this White House. 121 Members of Congress and many citizens like you have joined me in asking these questions of the President."

8. Thanks. This is it, but its probably not current.
H.Res.635 would create a select committee to investigate the Administration's intent to go to war before congressional authorization, manipulation of pre-war intelligence, encouraging and countenancing torture, and retaliating against critics, and to make recommendations regarding grounds for possible impeachment.

H.Res.636 and H.Res.637 would censure, respectively, Bush and Cheney for failing to respond to requests for information concerning allegations that they and others in the Administration misled Congress and the American people regarding the decision to go to war in Iraq, misstated and manipulated intelligence information regarding the justification for the war, countenanced torture and cruel, inhuman, and degrading treatment of persons in Iraq, and permitted inappropriate retaliation against critics of the Administration, for failing to adequately account for certain misstatements they made regarding the war, and – in the case of President Bush – for failing to comply with Executive Order 12958.

H.Res. 635 (Select Committee)
Ms. Waters
Ms. Woolsey
Mr. Rangel
Ms. Jackson Lee
Ms. Capps
Mr. Payne
Ms. Lofgren

H.Res. 636 (Censure Bush)
Ms. Waters
Ms. Woolsey
Mr. Rangel
Ms. Lofgren

H.Res. 637 (Censure Cheney)
Ms. Waters
Ms. Woolsey
Mr. Rangel
Ms. Jackson Lee
Ms. Lofgren

12. Thank you; appreciate your efforts:
These lists are important -- and will be even more important in helping us determine who are REAL Democrats come the fall primaries/elections.

(I'll be away from this machine for several hours but will check in tonight. Thanks again.)

5. The list?
I couldn't find a list either! I did however sign up, so if you never hear from me again you'll know why.

9. Checking Thomas,
I find H.Res.635 introduced 12/18/05 and sent to House Committee on Rules. All seven cosponsors signing on 12/22: Lois Capps-CA, Zoe Lofgren-CA, Chas Rangel-NY, Lynn Woolsey-CA, Sheila Jackson-Lee-TX, Donald Payne-NJ, Maxine Waters-CA. I don't know if others can sign on as cosponsors at this point or not.
Thank you for reminding me of this. I intended to address my Rep. but got sidetracked.

10. At the organized events last Saturday we were all
told to contact congresspeople and ask them to co-sponsor, but it seems like they have enough co-sponsors ? and I don't know if they need more or what happens at this point. Still good to let your congressperson know that you want them to do this.

Thank God for Conyers.

11. Thanks for the nudge.
Even if it does no good, it can't hurt.
