3. Oh thanks malaise
I have him on, but got caught up reading so many excellent posts. He is really been on this issue when he found out that Venezuela was looking into buying the voting machines. It was fine when it was Repugs owning them but not Hugo. Thanks.

4. Georgia - where E-magic happens!!!!
In three Georgia races in 2002, the Republican candidate won by PRECISELY 18,880 votes. Voila.

IT'S MAGIC!!!

Statistically impossible, but not with E-voting.

7. Diebold did not return a phone inquiry
I liked when Lou said "If I was a betting man, I would bet that the Secretary of State, who is running for Governor and will certify the votes and who certified the Diebold voting machines for the state will win". Katy Pilgram noted that the former Secretary of State for Georgia is now a lobbyist for Diebold. Dobb's added "Nice little industry that e-voting".

At least it is getting out there. Andy must be so proud of his work.

8. It was an excellent report
Edited on Tue Jun-20-06 05:43 PM by me b zola
It seems as though he is beginning to get it. He has moved away from the "OMG, Venezuela is going to own the machines, to the real issues regarding a verifiable vote and the homegrown election security issues. He has also made the connection between the Sec of State certifying the machines, the elections, and all the while running for office.

:toast: to getting the message out

10. Yes, he is
I was pissed when he first started taking on this issue and it all revolved around Venezuela. Now he is seeing the big picture. This is a good thing.

nothing.

17. Exactly
Not to mention that Dobbs has a big megaphone. If he begins to beat this drum, the message will get through to more of the average joes. If they are reasonable, they too will understand the implications of a privatized, unverifiable vote.

Here's to reason, understanding, and activism :toast:

18. Personally, I'd like to see the machines
owned by Venezuela, with Hugo Chavez as principal proprietor. This way, at least we're guaranteed fair elections

15. Dobbs
Even with his occasionally decent remarks, I can barely watch him anymore. He's just another populist talking head who grabs onto the latest thing.
