Do they really believe this stuff!
Edited on Sun Jan-15-06 07:14 PM by grateful581
Senate Minority leader Harry Reid had some tough words about the Republican party during a visit to Salt Lake City last wednesday.
He said "WE AS DEMOCRATS BELIEVE THERE SHOULD BE A BRIGHT LIGHT SHINING ON WASHINGTON. THE CULTURE OF CORRUPTION MUST END."

In response James Evans, Salt Lake County Republican chairman said "IF ANYTHING, DEMOCRATS WERE IN CONTROL OF CONGRESS FOR 40 YEARS, AND IF REPUBLICANS LEARNED ANYTHING ABOUT CORRUPTION, THEY LEARNED IT FROM THE DEMOCRATS."

This quote is pathetic. I wonder if they really believe this crap or if that was the newest talking point the repukes came up with.

4. Both quotes are pathetic. Both men are politicians.
Both Parties are corrupt, rotting from the core.

5. Democrats followed a process that was transparent,
The Republicans not only circumvented the process, but they got rid of any regulating agency that would challenge them, got rid of any well-researched study which challenged them; and are continually blocking information from the public.

Democrats believed in Sunshine Laws, the Republicans undermine them. Who has more to hide?

7. Not only "who has more to hide",
question is, how much more have they hidden?

6. Oh yes
:eyes: I'm sure that's where they learned it from. *snort* What a lame ass excuse if I ever heard one. And that means it's okay that the republicans are so corrupt?

9. I don't really think there
are any honest politicians. There, I said it. The main question is HOW dishonest are they? Is it as bad as the Bush Family Evil Empire or just a bj under the oval office desk?

I'm feeling kind of disillusioned tonight.

Maybe I'm moving towards anarchy. My middle schoolers would think that's cool.

10. "And I suppose, Senator, that if all of the OTHER senators ...
... jumped off a bridge, you'd just jump off the same bridge with them?"

I think it's time to call in the Mommies of all of these elected children, and remind them of that little adage ...
