Which is worse : The War in Iraq or the War in America ? |
|
And I do feel like we are fighting a war here. The war in Iraq is actually secondary to the battle we are fighting in America. We are fighting to save our freedoms. We are fighting for our children's futures. We are fighting to save the programs that we have fought for in the last 75 years. We do not wish to surrender everything we have gained to the right-wing radicals. The war in Iraq is almost like a diversion to the real war here in America. Every day I feel like I am in battle with these enemies of America - and I do see them as enemies.

1. The war against Iraq is actually a part of the War against America |
|
Small pack of unelected rich people having their way with America and thus the world.

It is so polarizing, and so destructive. Democracies are kind of unique. We don't necessarily get the best government. But we don't get the worst, either. We get something messy in between. Seems we are going through a messy period.
Dems and Repugs can't even have a damn softball game together anymore. It has deteriorated to the point of silliness.
It's time to drop back and punt. This isn't good or healthy for our country. We shall see.

No comparison.
But at the root of the Iraqi occupation is the stolen elections, via the e-vote theft. Take away that episode and we aren't even in Iraq. Put Al Gore in his rightful place and we never would have invaded.

9. Oh I think something would have happened. I may not agree |
|
with 3/4ths of what this cabal has done or why they have done it, but there is no denying that 9/11 DID alter the cosmic political map throughout the world. The primary issue this century will confront is energy and all its associated problems/opportunities. Been a long time coming but its here. When there are presumably only so many marshmellows for the firepit, everybody who is anybody will show up for some share in the fun.
Trouble is...how does a government with as many fires started as this one, manage to keep the whole forest from burning down?

8. No jobs? Tell that to the handful of DUers who gleefully tell us how |
|
they were helped by a job that was offshored. x(
We can't even agree with our own about something as fundamental as America's own infrastructure and national security concerns!

10. I meant no jobs in Iraq HT, but you're right...disagreement and |
|
behaving in a disagreeable manner has reached new heights in the US. Its beyond the pale in Iraq.

6. And what you said has a lot to do with why we are fighting a |
|
diversionary war in Iraq, a war that many may not live through to come home and tell the truth.

7. The War in America. For anyone to support offshoring |
|
is definitely not supporting America's infrastructure, economy, or national security.

11. they can't be separated |
|
They are different but both are going on since 9/11 and I don't mean to say remember 9/11 , I always will but certainly not for the reasons this criminal administration refers to it .
Both americans and Iraqis are being murdered and I don't doubt that soon if this admin stays the insane course that america will begin to resemble Iraq , not in bombed out structures but in empty boarded up structures . We already have new orleans and parts of the south in ruin and many small towns and flint michigan to add to the tourist maps of the most devastated places to see and you can add the site of the trade towers if you don't buy the handed out government version which i personally think is one sorry made up tall tale .
All that they need to do is keep shipping out jobs , keep health care out of reach and letting the minimum wage stay low as it is and we will soon be just like Iraq during the sanctions . We already have a terrorist dictator with his full staff of criminals so just how far from hell do you think we are . The Us is just larger so it will take more time to begin seeing the homeless and sick and jobless line the streets were no one can ignore them for much longer .
