Anybody still dealing with Santorm smoking gun relevation?

Now that the Santorum nonsense has been shot down by David Kay, the Department of Defense, basically every expert in the field, anybody still having to deal with idiots claiming vindication for the administration? Or did they finally come to their senses and admit it was much ado about nothing, like everything else from the pro war crowd?

1. I predict this nonsense
will live on because so many wanted to believe that they were there. It has now entered the 'magical' belief-scape of the average Repug so that they don't need to feel any more guilt about how many lives have been destroyed by the war they promoted.

2. Neocon sheep are desperate to believe they were right all along
so don't expect this one to go away just because everybody who knows what they are talking about has debunked it. Remember, these people base their lives on believing utter nonsense. They have not been swayed by facts in the past and they will not be swayed by facts now.

Most of them have not read the debunking. They've gotten as far as an article title, then closed their eyes and turned the page, switched the radio or TV off FAST, done whatever they can to preserve the fantasy that they were right and everybody else is wrong.

It would be sad and funny if they weren't so dangerous.

5. You took the words right out of my mouth.
The Right Wing crowd is having an identity crisis. It's not even about politics anymore. For them, it's like a very big, very long football game and their "side" has to win or they'll lose their social identity. They can't think as individuals, and they're just too stupid to maintain life functions, so they gather in groups, hoping for validation. (And next time, I'll tell you what I really think!)

4. Soon we will find that Ricky was smoking some strong shit...
And that will end his career because he is a member of the uptight party, where there are more naughty things but they must stay quiet.

6. One of the partners Hubby works with was crowing yesterday.
Hubby didn't have time to check here for what was what, so he asked me last night. I told him what I'd read here, and he's planning on letting that Repug know the truth today. That is, if he decides to actually show up for work . . .

7. Santorum is not noted for his thoughtful, researched, seasoned opinions.
He opposed the Texas sodomy case outcome by the U.S. Supreme Court, publicly declaring that it would lead to "man-on-dog" sex.

I really don't see the grounds for concern.

Pretty much the same here with the WsMD. Kay, Blix, and many others have already looked and found the cupboard was bare.

Santorum is about a million percentage points behind Bob Casey in that senate race, and I think he wanted to rev up the redmeat donor base one last time.

A few more checks will arrive in the mail to Ricky's home in -- Pennsylvania? Virginia? DC? Utah? --wherever he lives exactly -- but I don't think this "announcement" will live out the week.
