3. The Overt Acts amounted to obtaining boots and a digital camera

from the "al Qaeda representative" (the FBI).

This is the extent of the plot in Miami: after a couple meetings of a handful of raggedy-assed losers where the most improbable attacks were discussed -- blowing up the Sears Tower in Chicago, attacking the Dade County FBI HQ building -- the group broke up. Nobody ever had any explosives or the technical ability to use them. They didn't even possess the means to buy boots or a digital camera for themselves.

In reality, this "army" was five penniless fools manipulated by a small-time conman, who boasted that he wanted to declare war on the United States if Osama bin Laden paid him to do it. When everyone lost interest, they were arrested. Another successful "major counter-terrorism investigation" concluded.

This is as absurd as it gets.

4. Is this the language you were referring to?

2. As used in this Indictment, the term "jihad" refers to violent jihad, which in turn refers to the taking of actions against persons or governments in order to undermine and bring about the downfall of governments, and which include planning, preparing for, and engaging in, acts of physical violence, murder, maiming, kidnaping, and the destruction of property.

Ok, if so, can you say "John Negroponte" boys and girls? Sure you can.

Edited to correct typo in quote. "kidnaping" is their bad.

5. Yep, that's what I was referring to! Did you paste it from the .pdf?

7. I can transfer it to MSWord as an "image"
But I couldn't figure out how to get the OCR reader to work. So I typed it. Typing is how I make my living, so it wasn't too onerous, except I made two typos in that one silly paragraph.

8. Ah, okay - thanks.
I have some OCR software on this machine, never used it, maybe I'll tinker around with it some. :-)

right away.

I guess federal prosecutors dont get spell checkers...

Also General Allegations #2 could apply to the Bush admin just as easily as Al Qaeda.
