1. Tomorrow's too smug for my taste.

Having seen his strips for ages, I'm surprised he hasn't gotten any better. He is as Draconian as the Republicans he parodies. Forget any political philosophy; if you don't agree with what Tom Tomorrow says, he calls you an Ozzie and Harriet dupe. This kind of spitting contempt may satisfy Mr. Tomorrow emotionally, but it isn't winning any converts to progressive causes. (Just like listening to Fox News hasn't convinced any DU people to become Freepers.)

If you look at his strips, it isn't Bush and Company who get the majority of the contempt, it's ordinary citizen. He doesn't believe in democracy any more than Bush does. Maybe what he believes in is Tomism.
