Busby/Bilbray "Emergency Townhalls"; More 'NO CONFIDENCE' Declarations...

Busby/Bilbray 'Emergency Townhall' Events Announced! More 'NO CONFIDENCE' Declarations in the Election Results…

Several additional organizations and individuals have announced "NO CONFIDENCE" declarations in the announced Busby/Bilbray election results due to state and federal laws and provisions violated when the San Diego County registrar allowed the highly-hackable Diebold voting machines to be sent home with poll workers in the days prior to the June 6th. U.S. House special election.

"Emergency Townhall" events…to rally around the issue, raise awareness, and discuss actions to deal with the problem moving forward and call for accountability are now scheduled for Tuesday the 27th in Los Angeles and Wednesday the 28th in San Diego…

LOS ANGELES: Tue, June 27, 2006 @ 7:30pm
Venice United Methodist Church
1020 Victoria (Lincoln & Victoria, 1 block N. of Venice Blvd.)

SAN DIEGO: Wed, June 28, 2006 @ 7:00pm
Oceanside Civic Center
330 N. Coast Hwy. Oceanside, CA

Speakers at both events to include myself, Rob Cohen (co-director of the upcoming VoterGate documentary), Mimi Kennedy and Marcy Winograd (CA Election Protection Network and PDA), Jeeni Criscenzo (U.S. House nominee in San Diego's 49th district) and…possibly others to be announced soon.

Both events are OPEN TO ALL and I hope you'll turn out if you're anywhere near! More details, a swell poster, fliers and other info soon (hopefully by this evening). Please spread the word!

New Folks Declaring "NO CONFIDENCE" in the Busby/Bilbray Election Results as Announced…

- - The Commonweal Institute. A "multi-issue research and educational institute/think tank" who, amongst other things, has been "working to raise awareness of the public and our political representatives of the problems posed by electronic touch-screen voting systems and how these might be corrected."

- - Progressive Democrats of Sonoma County. They also join both the national PDA and California Election Protectoin network in endorsing the declaration of "No Confidence" in the reported Busby/Bilbray Election results.

- - Clint Curtis. Vote-rigging whistleblower, election integrity advocate and now candidate in Florida's 24th congressional district. Curtis, whose extraordinary story was first broken here (http://www.BradBlog.com/ClintCurtisSummary.htm) is running against Rep. Tom Feeney, the man who he claims had asked him to create vote-rigging software when they both worked for the same computer firm. Curtis has released an eloquent declaration of "No Confidence". Few know better than Curtis how easy it is to game these systems via electronic voting systems. As with the other candidates who've come out to declare "No Confidence" (see the list below), we recommend that you support him…as opposed to candidates and organizations who do not do so.

- - Amongst those already having declared "No Confidence":

+ VelvetRevolution.us (Sign their petition here: http://www.velvetrevolution.us/content/busby-bilbray/busby-bilbray.php)
+ California Election Protection Network (CEPN)
+ Progressive Democrats of America (PDA)
+ Election Defense Alliance (EDA)
+ Tribune Media columnist Robert Koehler
+ U.S. House Nominee Jeeni Criscenzo (CA-49)
+ MD U.S. Senate Candidate Kevin Zeese
+ MA Sec. of State Candidate & Constitutional Attorney John Bonifaz

- - It's also well worth noting again that San Diego's far right Republican radio host (former mayor and frequent fill-in host on Rush Limbaugh!), Roger Hedgecock has also come firmly on board — as I discovered while a guest on his program yesterday (listen up here: http://www.bradblog.com/?p=2988) — in calling for accountability in Busby/Bilbray as well. And he is an ardent Bibray supporter!

2. Without required audits, you can't even have a democrracy.
There are very few elections in America these days that elicit any confidence whatsoever.

Just about every election in America could elicit just such response, NO CONFIDENCE.

It's really a wide-ranging, sweeping NO CONFIDENCE indictment for the whole country, our so-called democracy, which has become nothing more than a video game, a cyber democracy. We don't have a democracy anymore...BY DEFINITION.

5. It's vital we know NOW if vote tampered with.
It is *vital* that we confirm asap whether or not any fraud took place in the Busby/Bilbray race EVEN IF IT DOESN'T CHANGE THE OUTCOME!

We only have 4 full months before the November election, and if election tampering is still taking place, we need confirmation NOW before any question regarding any race this November isn't just dismissed as "sour grapes whining by the sore-loser Left".

There are groups on the Right that are ACTIVELY subverting our Democracy in order to ensure their candidates are installed into office. Even the possibility that this could be taking place should horrify the public, with investigative news reporters all over it.

I'd of thought that after stacks of Democratic voter registrations were found in a Reno, NV dumpster in 2004, and a lack of voting machines in Democratic Precincts in Ohio would have been hard proof enough to get serious investigative journalists looking into this issue, but to my *horror*, we've barely seen a peep from the MSM, depending on atypical media sources like "Rolling Stone Magazine" to even raise the issue.

I've been following the Busby/Bilbray outcome from day one with intent interest because it all sounded just a bit too familiar... a Republican squeaking out a marginal win in a race that they never should have even been competitive in. I'm VERY glad to see/hear that serious investigations into the outcome are being followed up on and taken seriously.

Can you really call it a town hall if you are charging $10 to get in? Doesn't the head tax kind of disqualify the most vulnerable to election shenanigans from attending the meeting? edit: yes I see the no one turned away, but many poor minorities avoid the stigmatization they fear will be attached to them when they have to explain to the door staff they don't have $10

Why, when Busby is calling on Democrats to help her campaign for the November election are you holding "Emergency meetings" and calling the results into question without a shred of evidence that Busby received one less vote than she expected to get?

Have you got a single projection from the busby campaign that has Busby receiving less votes than she expected in any precinct?

How is clint curtis involved in this story?

Who is velvet revolution?
