I hate the idiot in the White House. Hate him with a passion! If I put my feelings into words I couldn't post them here. Okay, they probably watch me anyway...so, I belong to MoveOn.org, Military Families Speak Out (MFSO), Some of the icons on my desktop are RawStory.com, Buzzflash.com, Antiwar.com, NewsAmericaNow, JeffRense.com, MichaelMoore.com, OpEdNews.com, Truthout.com, Project for the Old American Century, and many, many others. I listen to Bernie Ward & Ray Taliaferro, sometimes staying up most of the night because Ray's show is so good! Last Wednesday night I got into a big fight with my son, who was in the Navy, because he doesn't think the idiot * will be impeached and I DO! I got into a heated discussion just yesterday with my husband, who has been in the National Guard for over 26 years and been to the Middle East at least 4 times. He's not so sure * is as evil as I am, and still believes the 9-11 bullsh** our government is telling us! I'll keep working on him. I AM frustrated, frustrated with the Democratic Party, frustrated with the stupid people of this country, and frustrated that we are being taken over by a fascist tyrant, who said our Constitution was just a "G-damn piece of paper"! I hope that's enough to convince you guys that I AM NOT a troll. If not, let me know. I do have more proof. Pictures from the General's campaign, Pic's with Kerry, Edwards, and their wives. Propably more pics I have put away. Pictures I used to look at with hope, that I now look at and wonder where in the HELL our beloved country is headed, and what this year holds in store for us. I was thought to be a freeper because I doubted Rove would be arrested.

I don't want to become mean just because the other side has a bunch of Neros fiddling around as Rome burns. We can disagree without being mean and putting people on the defense.

It does seem as if we have people here who get off by swearing at everything the other side does.
I do not care for Bush, but we are not going to turn things around by brute force.

People have to be convinced they are making a change from within.

How do we do that? By showing them that it's in their best interest and giving them the tools to realize it.

I understand that you are upset, and possibly even scared at the possiblity of your husband going back there, and believe me, people on DU are just as sick about it as you are. I, too, have friends who are on their second and third tours. As a counsellor, I wonder about how many of them I am going to be seeing later.
DU is a wonderful place--you can vent, rage, rant, question, learn, advise--everything. impossible as it sounds, do try to relax a bit-- we are all here for you, we are all here for each other in what is truly a frightening time.

Did somebody call you a troll? I will say that DU board has many forums and features. One of them is spell checking. I think you have one hour before your edit feature ends. Fascist and probably would be corrected with the spell checking. As one guy here said "Bad spellers of the world untie."

24. I know it's frustrating.

Everything going on in this country right now is frustrating and enraging. We're all frustrated, enraged and on edge. I can't imagine the fear and pain you're going through right now with your husband being in harms way.

Please try to calm down. DU can be a very high stress place sometimes and is not necessarily the place to be hanging out when you're in your current state. Especially when you're new and not familiar with the ropes, it may only add to your feelings of frustration as it seems to be doing.

You sound like a good person and a good addition to the DU community. I don't at all think you're a troll. I do think you may want to step back a little. It may be best to get away from your computer for right now, have a stiff drink, and come back when you're feeling a little bit more calm. Sometimes when you're new, it's better to learn the ropes by lurking for awhile just to get a feel for the place. I lurked for a half year before I ever started posting. People do get suspicious of new people because we do get so many trolls and they usually get busted before they've gotten more than a hundred posts. This suspicion will pass (though there are a few people here who still think I'm a troll ).

This place definitely can be frustrating and infuriating. Just hang in there, and be prepared to leave the place when it gets too frustrating.:hug:

I have been listening for many months. My count IS low because I hardly post, but HOW am I SUPPOSED to get my post # up if I just shut up and listen? I'm only human, I call myself a Progressive Christian, but MAN some people on this site are just downright MEAN!!! It makes it hard to stay positive when you feel like you're being attacked by your own. :banghead:
