Just saw something very disturbing
You know that one part on fahrenheit 9/11 were they have a clip where the soilders are making fun of a iraq pow who for some reason has a stiffy and one of them touches it and then tries to rub it off on another.

You know something is wrong when are soilders act like six year olds.

11. If doing something unjust to people, you can have one of two reactions:



  1. feel guilty and eventually want to stop what you are doing

  2. decide that the people you are doing it to deserve it




Frederick Douglass said something like that.

I would add that guilt wins less often than blaming the victim.

That's why whites in the South didn't used to just be indifferent to the blacks they oppressed but actively hated them, and why the country as a whole treated American Indians as violent savages, and probably why they Israelis treat the Palestinians progressively worse.
