This hasn't been freeped yet, but it probably will be now.

Doesn't matter -- speak your mind...

Do you believe President Bush's actions justify impeachment? -- http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/10562904/#survey

I remember participating when it was still new and the percentage to impeach hasn't changed. And the wording of the poll is astonishing for MSNBC standards. :D

16. As a reminder,
"freeping the poll" is a lot more than inviting all to go there and VOTE. In the past, the Freak Republic has openly bragged about "Perl scripts" that would allow a single computer to cast multiple votes --- as many as they thought they could get away with without triggering an alarm.

I believe that this poll is inherently skewed somewhat to the "center/liberal" side. But over 2000,000!!! -- That's impressive!!!

But if you already voted, you'll just see the results. The poll was first posted on December 21, but was never mentioned on the air and only made it (I believe) into one small-time newspaper in San Francisco. The poll is essentially archived and will never see the light of day...

27. I'm seeing the same thing you are (results only) ... but,
I've been seeing this same poll posted from time to time here at DU for a couple of weeks or more, and I think the reason we're seeing the results and not the original poll is because we already voted.

Okay, after I typed the previous paragraph I opened another browser and the same link gave me the poll options instead of the poll questions, so yes, it's "a cookies thing".

31. 207 thousand votes
That's alot of Free Republican Fascists that are going to have to counter. I think those kind of numbers indicate that alot of moderates and independents understand the degree of corruption that Republicans now represent to America.

The freeper fascists are used to screaming ten times as loud and ten times longer than their opposition (decent people) to get their way. Maybe if they click the survey vote button ten times as hard and ten times over they'll get their usual advantage with the media.

Which is of course the big question. Will the media even mention this poll? And if they do, will they then put together panel discussions and even entire pundit shows around it, like they did the first time a Republican even mentioned that Clinton might be impeached over a rumor of a marital indescretion.

Don't get me wrong - it's great that they're even doing a poll like this. But they have so many more methods for not talking about what they don't want to talk about. Bush's impeachment should be a major American issue right through the 2006 mid-terms, but it won't be, no matter what this or any other poll says. They'll simply decide that three-quarters of the US population wanting Bush impeached isn't as newsworthy as, well, just about anything else that comes up.

Online polls are notoriously inaccurate.

One week in the middle of the Clinton-Lewinsky scandal, more than 200,000 people took part in an MSNBC Live Vote that asked whether President Clinton should leave office. Seventy-three percent said yes. That same week, an NBC News-Wall Street Journal poll found that only 34 percent of about 2,000 people who were surveyed thought so.

If you have -- you'll only see the results page. The poll doesn't let you vote twice.

89. I told my winger brother about this poll
and he laughed at me. He said he's voted a bunch of times for "chimpeachment" (he even used that word) and that all of his innernets winger buds are doing the same. Their apparently trying to drive the poll over 90% to make it invalid. He's not the smartest one in the family.

While the number of replies keeps mounting -- the breakdown has been stuck on these exact percentages for over a day:

Do you believe President Bush's actions justify impeachment?

My guess is that MSNBC posted the initial breakdown graphic w/o syncing it to the real-time data.

Keep on voting! ...and E-mail MSNBC for an explanation here -- mailto:viewerservices@msnbc.com
