Pretend for a moment that 9/11 never happened...
bush and his ghoulish pals exploited the horrors of nine eleven masterfully, and they've used it as an excuse for hundreds of atrocities and breeches of law, including robbing the treasury, spying on us, starting illegal wars, torturing p.o.w.'s etc, and because of nine eleven, we've let them.

but if you take nine eleven out of the equation and pretend it didn't happen, then it looks like what it really is, a gigantic coup de tat. because of the attacks in new york and d.c. we the people have handed the government over to monsters. now we fear not only terrorism from afar, but we fear our own government, which thomas jefferson warned us spells the end of america. they are supposed to fear US, not the other way around.

we've all been on the receiving end of the biggest, nastiest hoax ever perpetrated on a nation, and we fell for it hook line and sinker.

now look at bushco objectively as if you were just meeting them for the first time and 9/11 never happened. would we have let them go this far without 9/11? fuck no we wouldn't have, and THEY KNEW IT.

very clever these monsters who wear human suits and ties, clever and dangerous. it's as if they used hitler's playbook as a blueprint, and we never saw it coming.

we need to wise up, and we need to clean house, before it's way too fucking late. but you already knew that.

1. agree with all of it.
pearl harbor, the attack on the USS Maddox the Reichstag fire....

There is nothing new about utilizing an attack on your own population to perpetrate war actions, but there is still nothing right about it.

I also think this is the most disgusting.

Is this sarcasm?

8. I take it you sill don't believe that 9/11 happened on purpose.
I don't fall into the "make it happen on purpose" theory because I honestly do believe that al-Qaeda is real and is a real threat; however, there are several glaring proofs that point to the fact that the Bush Administration let it happen on purpose, including the Aug. 6, 2001 memo, bin Laden's own words, the failure to listen to people like Richard Clarke within the administration and the PNAC's call for an attack the size of Pearl Harbor to rally the American people into supporting their imperialistic goals.

It's plausible, without even donning the tin foil, that BushCo. wanted a major terrorist attack so it could march into the Middle East, give it's friends fat military contracts, secure the oil for their cronies and, to appease their wingnut faction, hasten the Rapture.

So, no, the post above was not sarcasm.

4. Instead of slowly decaying into a one-party police state:
And try turning it around: Is one terrorist attack worth all the loss of personal freedom and privacy, the lives of soldiers and the honor of the nation?

As we know now Iraq was never a threat and not linked to 9/11. Far more people die from real problems like insufficient treatment of heart disease or cancer. If mobilization had been aimed against any major disease or other real challenges the nation would have progressed instead of slowly decaying into a one-party police state!

10. The impact of Katrina was far more devastating---
number of people effected, size of area effected, economic impact, probably even loss of life; but I think the majority of Americans have managed to forget about it except in a sort of superficial "that was such a same" way. Yet the power of 9/11 still burns white hot in many people's minds. I still get the "never forget what they did to us" emails from people I have come to think of as ignorant fools.

Makes me crazy1
