They talk about being persecuted and victimized, when they are the ones in power!

:wtf:

What would happen if they were REALLY persecuted?

1. It Might Be Pleasant To Find Out, Ma'am
You know, it is really time for me to go to bed....

"Build a man a fire, and he will be warm for a few hours. Set a man on fire, and he will be warm for the rest of his life."

3. After listening to how easily they were played by Abramoff it would
be like "shooting fish in a tank", to borrow a phrase.

5. Count me in!
I don't recall denying them marriage rights or reproductive rights or denying them freedom from discrimination in housing and employment. I don't remember the Justice Department putting up a website saying that Christianity is not a real religion and not covered by the first amendment or filing an amicus brief in a case where a man was required to renounce his religion in order to have visitation with his kids. Which they did with Wicca. Or the president saying that the Pentagon needs to reevaluate it's policy of allowing soldiers to practice Christianity - which he said about Wicca. Maybe it's time they got a taste of their own medicine so they could use the word "persecution" accurately.

Khash.

7. I know!
What they experience (and believe to be persecution) does not even qualify as nuisance behavior.

Pagans, gays, people of color, and various and sundry other disenfranchised people experience true bigotry, harrassment, and even legally sanctioned discrimination, all in the name of "Christian Values".

I am thoroughly convinced that if Jesus Christ "came back" and witnessed the downright inhumanity that is being perpetrated in his name, he would be furious.

6. Whiners all. Crybabies all. I'm so tired of their bitching. I've
started verbally attacking all this bull shit. We all should. They really have had success through intimidation. I'm tired of kool-aid junkies.

8. I think genuine persecution would...
... validate their claims. What they--and their ideas--do deserve, however, is relentless and ongoing ridicule. :)

9. Me, too!
Me, three! And four!

Man, I really want to put a foot up these sonsabitches' ass. If they would shut the fuck up...

Let's put them down in one of the World Wars and let them see what persecution was really like.

It's not about a stupid Christmas banner in a department store, you dumb fucks.

10. I'm the one who's "persecuted and victimized"
I can't even watch my damned TV on Sunday morning, for the gang of lying, money loving, tele-mongo-vangelists, on every local channel, lying and begging for cash. Cash they'll launder and then spend on the likes of George W Bush, Anti-Christ wanna'-be # 1.!

Turning the other cheekism, to me, is like trying to hold back a gigantic beer-fart in church. It's painful as all get out and it could even stunt your growth! The preachers and their flockkkers should go back to the words of the old and wise ones, who stated, "Don't start any shit and there won't be any shit!"

One of the first things Gawd told man/woman, according to the Bible, was to NEVER judge others, but to try and keep your own house in order. And we have folks like Jerry and Pat on TV, teaching their faithful flunkies, to hate and even kill their neighbor!

11. Darfur. Christians are being hunted down & murdered right now.
THAT'S what REAL persecution looks like. But Sudan doesn't have any oil, and the people being killed are black - so our Christian President & his worshipers don't care.

12. Fundies Feel Persecuted When....
...a non-Fundie has anything that they want

....a non-fundie has a nice day and isn't struck by lightning, nor gets a hangnail, nor anything

...a non-Fundie is measurably happier, smarter, nicer, wealthier, or just exists.

Isn't it wonderful how we can persecute just by existing?

13. I prefer prosecuting them
whenever possible. Persecution can be used by them to bolster their base, but when cold hard facts are brought out in a court of law (or even before), their supporters drop away. Think about the preacher in OK that was caught soliciting homosexual sex.

14. Most of them will never know what persecution feels like
The ones who are most vocal about being persecuted are usually white, middle class suburbanite Christians.

The only group persecuting them is the GOP, who has declared war on the middle and lower class.

Ironic, then, that they so adamantly support their persecutors...
