Without getting into graphic and unwelcome detail here, it's tough to -- uh -- function normally when one is in the habit of consuming enough illegally obtained prescription drugs to incapacitate someone else.

I might also add that Viagra probably would not be advisable with any preexisting conditions Mr. Limbaugh may allegedly have.

I don't even know who you are. There can be regional differences in word usage, ya know. Making value judgments on a person based on how they use a word is pretty damn snobby. Modern dictionaries are based on Structural Grammar which lists words by Most Common Usage, and not necessarily All usage. :eyes:

I don't know why poeple are misunderstanding me. I do not like Rush Limbaugh, and I think he is an asshole of the highest order. I just don't see the need to jump on him for using viagra. :shrug:

Edit: As a good friend of mine just said, Rush Limbaugh is "a loathsome blowhard who exploits his audience's prejudices and grows fat off them, while simultaneously bearing a fair measure of responsibility for the degradation of political discourse in America."

English is a living language. Usage determines "correctness" - and the usage of 'jive' in lieu of 'jibe' has not (yet) achieved correctness. Maybe someday it will. Stranger things have happened. After all, maybe "ax" will eventually be regarded as a correct pronunciation for the word 'ask,' too. In the meantime, it merely indicates (to many) a weakness in language skills.
