McCain: U.S. may have to undertake a military strike to deter Iran |
|
http://www.alertnet.org/thenews/newsdesk/N16217097.htmOn Sunday, Republican U.S. Sen. John McCain of Arizona said the United States might ultimately have to undertake a military strike to deter Iran. I told you all he was nuttier than a fruitcake.

1. I don't trust McCain as far as I could throw him. |
|
We will need a draft if we think we can go into Iran. Maybe then Americans will wake up.

5. No it doesn't work that way unfortunately |
|
If you scare Americans enough many of them will be glad to donate a son or two to save them from the evildoers.
And if there is any chance that their gasoline will be cut off they will send their daughters too.
Got to keep on truckin'.

IF the US attacks Iran, they will have to permanently guard tankers in the Strait of Hormus. And even then many tankers will be sunk and less oil will arrive safely in the US.

a message in support of the war, or anything, but people don't get to send their sons, or daughters, to a war, unless there is a draft. Nobody can force another person into the military under current law. The sons and daughters either go because they want to, or they don't go.

20. McCain is the 'sacrificial goat' |
|
who speaks for Dubya. Someone has to officially speak for the administration view on bombing Iran because Big-mouth Bush is losing ground. McCain will lead the way for informing the American public that we can look forward to the next strike coming against Iran.

6. Some of the comments I've heard about Iran sound like the |
|
comments that were floating around just before Bush invaded Iraq. You know the ones: "use diplomacy" and "U.N. Security Council". Are we being gradually introduced into war with Iran?
Bush's ratings are falling again and everytime he starts a war he gets a bump. I believe that was one of the leading factors that got the U.S. into Iraq. Bush had such a high approval rating after 9-11 that he decided to base his entire term of office on terror. When his ratings started to fall, he rushed us into Iraq. Now that his numbers are low and still falling, he starts making noise about Iran. The man is an ego-maniac and none of us are safe as long as he is in office.

8. Of course after Iraq and Iran, that only leaves North Korea. |
|
Brush has planned all along to attack these three countries. They are his access of evil. He only has two years left to start another war. Though I don't know what bodies he's going to throw at the other evil doers. Maybe he will do a "signing letter" and start up the draft again only call it "National Service" so the repuke middle class will buy into it.

the ony reason anyone ever thinks anything nice about this walking trash piece is because in comparison to the general run of the mill neocons, he looks ....... well, better. It is not hard to do.
And yes, they are spiking up to bombing Iran.... probably to be done by proxy Israel with the bumber buster bombs they got from us almost a year ago. They only thing standing in the way are Russia and China. And that probably won't suffice inasmuch as neither is willing to go to war over Iran... I wager.
What gets me is why Iran's president has been playing the brinkmanship game. Any ideas? He knows something we don't or is he simply a fruit case? And likes to make it easier for the US to continue the neocon plans for global hegemony?

11. McCain is on a steady downhill run |
|
He used to appear halfway decent and then he kissed dubby. Now pushing war, he has totally signed himself over to the devil. If he wants to run for pRes. someday, he should come out of dubya's shadow and work a little diplomacy.
Is there even anyone working the diplomacy angle besides kindamedusa rice or karen Hugh!!11!?

15. Well....since we know his Anti-Torture Bill was a sham ...set up to take |
|
Edited on Mon Jan-16-06 11:43 AM by KoKo01
pressure off the Repugs, Bush and the Senate Dem War Hawks it would seem this is another way of him setting the stage for more angry rhetoric from the Chimp. He very cleverly got that bill through knowing that Bush would over-ride it with his imperial pen.
McCain is disgusting. His back and forth makes him look like a fool to those who pay attention. Sadly, most people out there don't. They think we aren't going to be torturing anyone anymore...just because of John McCain. Sheesh....:eyes:

Iraq. Can the US "win" when it has to fight Sunni AND Shiite. The majority of Iraq is pro Iran so me thinks attacking Iran makes the current unending war even worse.
