June 24 and signed it.

Today they wrote to thank me for signing, and asking that I spread the word.

When it says they're gaining strength THIS morning, they mean today Tuesday June 27, 2006.

It is so important to keep alive this legislation that has been so key to the Civil Rights movement and our Democracy.

They already try so many ways to disenfranchise people, and this does provide some safeguards, which is why they don't want to renew it.

(Might get in the way of their vote suppression and vote theft)
