Clark Video 1/16: Fatalistic on Iran as he reminds Bridget the ex-traffic
Edited on Mon Jan-16-06 02:46 PM by Gloria
reporter that he warned a couple of years ago that Iraq was not the problem.....she tries to interject, but he keeps going.....

"Myself, I'm a fatalist on this."

Clark basically said that no matter what we bomb, we probably can only set back Iran's nuclear goals because they'll get help IMMEDIATELY from neighbors (mentioned the Khan network)....and that if Bushco messes around, we may actually be in real danger of WMDs.

Boy, did Clark look grim.

Luckly for Bridget, there was a lot of "visual noise" for the average dimwit to be distracted from what Clark was saying...

Right after Clark finished, they showed McCain on the Pakistan bombings, and a clip of Dianne Feinstein also bloviating...another DC Democrat who should SHUT UP. Really, why can't this stupid party put Clark or the equivalent out there who really knows what's going on to speak on foreign policy??? One voice that indicates to the country that Democrats seem to know something???

This is an opportunity to pre-empt Bushco on Iran--hold them accountable for the incompetence and their lies and blunders.

But they won't. You watch, they'll "rally" around and screw it up. The have the chance to pre-empt Bush and show him for the incompetent, dangerous, lying weasel that he is...they'll blow it like the blew Alito.

Wesley Clark during the 04 Primaries:

"...This administration's preemptive doctrine is CAUSING North Korea and Iran to ACCELERATE their nuclear weapons development. Now there are some of us who aren't in Washington right now, but I'd like to ask all those who are...lets see some leadership in the United States Congress. Let's see you take apart that doctrine of preemption NOW. I don't think we can wait until November 2004 to change the administration on this threat. We're marching into another military campaign in the Middle East. We need to stop it."

3. Yep, pretty scary...
Like you, I don't put a lot of faith in the DC Dems holding BushCo accountable for anything....

Very scary world we live in and it gets sacrier by the minute with those yahoos in office....

5. Those four minutes of rational, nonpartisan, realistic explanation
... made it clearer than anything else I've ever seen just how completely and utterly * f*cked up by going after Iraq needlessly.

The seriousness of the situation, at a time when everybody knows our military is stretched to the breaking point, makes it clear to even FOX viewers (at least those who are still functionally sentient) that a HUGE mistake has been made, without Clark's even having to bring up Iraq. People always feel more strongly about a conclusion they reach themselves rather than one they're informed about--I was a bit of a doubter about Clark being on FOX at first, but it didn't take long for me to think that having one of our own on that channel is a very, very good thing.

6. We need to IMPEACH ASSHAT Bu$h & Co.
before they have a chance to carry out another illegal war, a war that is just going to pour gasoline on an already lit fire.

Yes?

Anyone have contact info for Howard Dean?

10. Email sent via Senate web site
of Joe Biden, since he is on Foreign Relations.

"The Democratic Party needs call on General Clark

Wes Clark is the best "weapon" in the arsenal of our party with regard to foreign policy.
With his military service, his experience as SAC NATO, and his plain talk.
We need someone who can speak to the issues with enough "gravitas" to carry maximum weight.
He should come off the sidelines, out of the dugout, and be up at bat at this critical time in our nation's history.
Please."

11. Yeah - like Biden is going to shut up and let Clark be out
in the forefront on this issue.

Biden would rather don a cute hat and appease Republicans on every single Sunday morning talk show than actually put a Democrat forward who knows what he's talking about.

13. I agree, but I don't have much faith that Congressional
Dems know how to SHUT UP when they don't know an answer.

14. I also wrote Senator Kerry and Reid.
Kerry cause he's also on the Foreign Relations cmmtee, and cause he's one of party leaders.

I began my email to him, "Senator Kerry, As you are aware...." the stuff about Wes, since we know Wes was very close to him during the campaign.

Reid because he's a party leader.
