If Al Runs in 08, there is one thing he must correct |
|
He needs to select as his running mate someone a little less repub than Joementum, say, oh, Zell Miller.
Just kidding, about Zell, not Joe.

Then, Wes Clark-Secretary of Defense etc.

Wes cannot, by Constitutional law, be Secretary of Defense until he has been non-active military for 10 years, which will be two years after the 2008 election.
How many times does this have to be screamed?
I'm not dissing you, personally, because Howard Kurtz floated this same falsity just last week.

I didn't know that. I really like Wes Clark, too.
I just think the Democrats have a plethora of GOOD MEN that would WILLINGLY "be our voice".
Republicans demean our BAND of PATRIOTS.... so, to prove them wrong (and hopefully render them impotent)...
I would stand behind ANY Democrat who is willing to bring our country BACK to its people.

Warner might work too.
Boxer is great but a liberal California Jewish woman might be a tough sell in red states.

17. We know why Gore did that |
|
To give his administration a Mr. Goodguy image and figured you can't find a running partner less likely to stray and had that godly thing going on all to cover Clinton's b-job. Maybe the jewish vote. Those were my opinion of putting such a dippy person on the ticket with him. Joe over did the religious thing to the embarrassment of the party, it was so obvious.

Joe is one of the few potential candidates that has any chance of siphoning off Repub votes as he (at least among my Republican friends) is one of the few Dems with any credibility with Repubs.

20. Lieberman is every Reep's favorite Dem |
|
but I guarantee you, NONE of them will vote for a Dem just because Jomentum is on the ticket.
They may say they would, but they won't.
BTW, despite what they claim, Jomentum is wayyyy too liberal for the Reep voters on social issues (abortion, mostly) and the environment. If Joe weren't pro-war they'd be pissing all over him and calling him "baby-killer" and "tree-hugger."
You may have gathered that I don't loathe Joe quite as much as your average DUer. You would be right. But I still find him mostly exasperating, and he's my least favorite Dem senator, just after Biden.

13. And his support for gun control. |
|
With so many states now having "shall issue" (and no blood running in the streets as a result) and the sunset of the (pseudo) Assault Weapons Ban (and no blood running in the steets as a result), it's an even bigger millstone around a politician's neck than it was in 2000 or 2004.

19. I think Feingold would be a good choice |
|
I also think he and Dean would do well together, but Dean is needed at the DNC.
John Conyers would be a good choice too.
