4. The only thing that weighs against that in my mind |
|
is the fact that we could more than likely hold the WH for 16 years with Obama as VP....He would then be ready for the Presidency in 2016...National Experience.

7. You are no doubt right---I would love to see him run in the way |
|
in which he is most comfortable, but deep in my selfish little heart I'd love to see him run for president.

5. Nah, Gore-Obama, or Gore-Clark, or Gore-Anybody |
|
Obama needs to be Gore's Veep and then President. For God's sake, Al Gore deserves to be president. He did win it once and was denied his office by the wretched Rehnquist Court!
He needs to have his election confirmed in 2008. He's got the Washington background to know just how to fight these traitors. And next time I'll guarantee you that Bob Shrum won't be anywhere near the campaign operation. Shrum is finished, finally!

I can't believe Obama slipped my mind.:spank: He's my Senator.
I will say, Obama is a touch too MODERATE for my tastes, but he may change in the next 2+ years. We'll see. I'll keep him on my list of possibilities. :) I REALLY like Gore/Clark, Gore/Feingold, Gore/Boxer and Gore/Conyers. I would love to see an AA or woman or AA woman on the ticket. It IS 2006. It's about time for an AA and woman to be leading this country.

11. like I said in another thread, Barack Obama is not ready |
|
This is his first term in the Senate. Let him get some more time under his belt. Now Gore-Pelosi, IMHO, would be a winning ticket!

12. I've heard Obama drift to the right. |
|
I forget what he was talking about; I remember being disappointed besides he has little experience and almost no Elvis.

14. I don't think Obama's drifting. I think he's learning the ropes |
|
and getting acclimated. Remember what happened to the other recent black in the Senate (also from my home state, thank you very much)? Her name is Carol Mosley Braun and she was run out on a rail for messing with the status quo. I think Sen. Obama is doing just fine. You just watch!

I appreciate your supporting him. You apparently know him well. I certainly wish him the best of luck, as long as he represents we the people. :donut:

15. Heck, Obama is on the foreign relations committee, which is a pretty big |
|
deal for a junior senator. Mark my words, Sen. Obama has staying power and is simply learning the rules. He's going to be a force for change to be reckoned with in coming years.

Keep you eye on that prize. If that prize is lost than Gore, Obama, or anyone else welcomed to run won't have a chance in 08.
