7. Yeah, that's IT Blitzer. You're so smart. |
|
Got us!
But the reality is, that was yesterday. Blitzer, I hate to break the news to you, but Gore v. Bush is history. You're living in the past. We're talking about today. Not yesterday. You should know the difference. After all, you are supposedly in the news business.
This sounds more like Gore versus Blitzer.
Why do you hate the Constitution?

15. Blitzer/cnn wrong perpetually. Technically it is Bush vs. Gore |
|
since Governor bush was the :cry:baby and went to the courts for injunctive relief first.

paying a lot of attention to similar remarks by Arlan Spector! They aren't happy about the hearings that Arlan is holding in a few weeks.

9. Dana Bash with reaction from the Whitehouse... |
|
Edited on Mon Jan-16-06 04:10 PM by flpoljunkie
White House not receptive to Gore's call for an independent investigator, because they do not believe that Bush is breaking the law and that he will continue this program.
"Law is clear" that the President has the authority to do what he did. This from Ken Mehlman's response.
No, Ken, nice try!
The Whitehouse, she points out, is concerned about Spectre's comments yesterday regarding impeachment as one possible response to illegal wiretapping. I would point that Spectre's other mentioned remedy was elections. Amen!

18. Yes, and it is brilliant that Al didn't use the "I" word in his speech |
|
today- CNN said he stopped just short of it, but called for independent counsel.
So, now Spector's mention of impeachment as a remedy yesterday really stands out.

13. Schneider: "Democrats heard a voice from the past today." |
|
Edited on Mon Jan-16-06 04:53 PM by flpoljunkie
Gore gave a voice to the concerns of many citizens about possible criminal behavior of the President. Although he did not mention impeachment, Gore recommended the Attorney General appoint a special counsel. Gore also praised the work of Patrick Fitzgerald.
Gore is telling Democrats, "Let's make this our issue" and Gore invited Republicans to come along.

 Actually he made a great point! There are Repugs who might take heed of Gore's words since their Chimp has let them down and driving the country into the old Soviet Union.
Good for Schneider! I know he was joking ...but still.

Schneider reporting that Gore was speaking for the PARTY today.
Potential candidates are very cautious, but Gore is telling it like it is and asking the DDems to make this OUR theme this year!

Ever since I watched that Dean interview last week where he implies the Abramoff scandal affects both parties, I have nothing for disdain for him and I can't waste my time watching anything he does. I guarantee, if he addresses this on his show at all, it will just be an attack on Gore.
